Are any of you doing the Strava Challenge? I've read that the first distance marker of 40KM gets you a swiftly ls, and if you reach 80km you get a swiftly ls and a pair of speed shorts. I'm not doing the challenge because I need to prioritize my fitness time to crossfit and olympic lifting, plus I'm doing the Whole 30 and experiencing some major carb flu. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do it anyways though because 40km seems really expensive for a swiftly. I have a friend that does this awesome fitness jar and she puts in a certain amount of money each time she works out ($1 maybe) and at the end of the year she has $200-$300 to spend on a fun splurge. Thats more my kind of challenge. I don't love that Lululemon gets to buy a ton of your private data with this challenge.

I posted a couple of pictures of the Right As Rain Jacket last night in this same color but I haven't been able to confirm if this is Magnum. With the jackets Lulu sometimes doesn't follow the current colorway and they bring in special colors such as Shark or Ivy with the Audrey Jackets. My guess is this is Magnum but it almost looks like a muted ivy...maybe it's wren (it's Wren) These are currently in US stores but I would imagine rainy Vancouver would get them in pretty soon. As soon as I see it I'll get you the details.
Right As Rain Jacket Black, Coal and Wren
I really like this jacket but I got a rain/winter jacket a few weeks ago that I really like so I wont be in the market for a Lulu jacket. One thing I notice is the zipper is quite different from the jackets last year in that it's very shinny and obvious. I wonder if its that shiny plastic zipper (from a lot of last years run jackets) that has the best glide. Hopefully it's not metal or that clunky plastic zipper that always gets caught up. The color is pretty on this one too, wonder if it's Wren.
Wind and water resistant, sealed zippers and cinch cord in the back.
This is a pretty good shot of the newest Heathered Dewberry Define Jacket that just came out. This one is just sooo pretty. I wonder if there will be a Heathered Royal Define like the Heathered Royal Stride Jacket? I can't seem to remember if lulu usually makes the same colorway Defines and Strides/In Strides. Also, I sort of wish both of these jackets were made of the same Pearl Luxtreme as the Cool Racerback Tanks. I didn't love the Static Wish CRB when it was out yet in the winter yet I'm really drawn to the pearl luxtreme royal which is pretty similar to that CRB with the exception of the sparkle and it being low maintenance luxtreme vs. luon. Hmmmm, maybe a Pearl Luxtreme Define Jacket would be too flashy.
This is from an Australian store but I've heard rumours that we will be seeing a few Soft Shell trench style jacket designs coming to stores soon including a comeback of the Audrey Jacket which I purchased last fall and have used a ton. I found the fleecy inside with the softshell outer was the perfect warmth for Vancouver winters and it took me thru Fall, Winter and Spring easily. I've washed it three times and am quite impressed that my light colored Shark has washed perfectly clean each time. If you like the lighter colors but have shied away out of concern for messy sticky toddler fingers I recommend you live on the edge, you wont regret it.
I happened to be in a fitting room today with really great lighting and I was wearing my most favourite jacket ever, the Sing, Floss, Travel Jacket in Heathered Navy. I took the opportunity to catch an accurate picture of the color for those of you still wondering about it since it's been pretty hard to capture the correct color. Man I love this Jacket!!
The rumour on Lulu This Just In Group on facebook (someone who spoke to the GEC directly) is that Canada will not be receiving the Wren and Heathered Navy Sing, Floss, Travel Jackets like the US has. I suspected this was true of the Wren SFT Jacket since it's already been out for a couple of weeks there and hasn't made an appearance here yet. This is a huge bummer but luckily I have friends in the US that will 'angel' one for me after my hiatus. Take that Lulu!! Hopefully this is just a rumour but I'm thinking we can expect to see more and more diversified items that are unique to each store location. Hmmmmm....even more scarcity of product? Oh well, I guess we can all rely on resellers instead.
Back in January I was infatuated with photos of the Light Grey Pique In Stride Jacket that was out in stores then. I was a bit disappointed though when I tried it on because of the stark white contrast detailing on it made it a bit too conspicuous for my taste. I loved the look of white against light grey but didn't like it on me. Recently I've noticed new product alerts for a Light Grey Pique In Stride Jacket and I assumed it was the same one but low and behold it's actually the one in the picture on the right. Subtle logo and dark grey zipper details. I think I want to try this one on even though I'm not in the market for a new luon jacket (or any other jacket for that matter).
I don't normally gravitate to the Define Jacket but something about it in red really appeals to me. It reminds me of a cute cropped red leather jacket that my sister has and I covet.
Well I was right about the Factory Outlet getting a big shipment of products due to the changes to the website and reduction of inventory since it will cost a lot more to ship these items to the new distribution centre then it would be to sell these items at reduced prices. Currently the FO in Burnaby has Down Time Jackets in Violaceous which never made it to stores (except for in Australia) on sale for $129 from $148. If you don't have access to the Vancouver FO and you have been patiently waiting for this jacket to arrive I'm sure you will see it show up on ebay in the coming days. I'm oh so tempted by the gorgeous color in this jacket but I really don't need it for Spring running and it doesn't have the reflective features I want in a running jacket so I'm going to resist the temptation to have a friend pick one up for me or from rushing out madly to the FO. I may drop in on Saturday morning after grocery shopping which I do up the street from the outlet in which case I may once again be tempted if they are still there or on further markdown.

You can actually see the lines in the Swiftly material in this top picture of the Dance Studio Jacket. Now that I see a closeup picture I think the ruching in the logo is Swiftly and not sheer luon as I'd thought. I'll bet we see this in Wren.
If this comes out in the same Heathered Iris/Wee Stripe as the Moder Racer Tank or a solid Heathered Iris I would feel tempted. The Violaceous one momentarily tempted me but I have a Potion Purple 5yr Pima and the two would be too similar.
**Updating this post with pictures as they come up**
The only info so far on this Aura jacket is that it's reversible and made of organic cotton. I will update as soon as I find out more. It's currently in US stores. It looks like it has a metal zipper (blerg!!) and a giant hood that when the front zipper is unzipped can be worn as a cape over your shoulders. Also the arms look narrow and the body a bit looser. I'll have to try this one on to check on fit. I think I'm interested in this jacket if it's a long jacket in the Wear With All/Live Simply style but I would want it in a pretty color such as Iris or Violaceous (or both!!). I'm all Greyed out and refuse to buy another grey item.Uh-Oh, I'm really liking the purple (could it be the tango red Lulu Addict posted about today?) stripey side. looks like ruching at the lower arm.
