I was really naughty and placed a rather large order on Tuesday's upload, but I blame it on Lululemon's new 30 day return policy. I actually hadn't noticed the Black Grape Pace Rivals until after I already checked out, and then I took an entire day to decide I should probably just try them on.  I love Pace Rivals but I haven't liked the prints very much and I prefer when the mesh is more subtle and not contrasted. It seems like it's been forever since we've seen a pretty solid coloured Pace Rival without any funky contrasting. I tried these on with a tee shirt that has some rose gold detailing on it and now I'm obsessed with finding rose gold sandals to go with these Pace Rivals (or with the Fast And Free 7/8 Tights). I think it will also look great with my Muted Mauve Essential Tank and my Heathered Barkberry Scuba. The fit was my usual TTS 10 and they passed the squat test for opacity. If you are a fan of Pace Rivals and Black Grape speaks to you as it does me, you should try these on.

I've got a variety of natural light pictures here for you so you can see the true color. Black Grape is a really deep intense dark purple. I'm still working on my photography skills so bear with me. My camera is not compatible at all with a shutter remote so I have to use this infuriating app to take pictures - hence the giant iPhone 7 I'm starring at in each picture. Derp!

I had to run to the store today to return that too big Low Key Tank, I decided to look for the other purpley items I've been loving from the upload. Sadly, my store didn't have the Black Grape Pace Rivals in yet but they did have the Sole Training LS, which I love paired with the magnum shorts on the product photo. I wish the short sleeve also came in Black Grape. The Black Currant is nice too but I gravitated more to the Black Grape color.

Some of you where wondering about the new version of the On The Fly Pants which are *woven. The woven OTF pants are made of what feels like thin swift and it's lighter, breezier and a bit more matte version while the original is made of luxtreme and has a slight sheen to it. I think the new version will be great for summer.

Keep an eye on price adjustments online. If you made a purchase on Tuesday for the Low Key Tank, the price has been reduced. You can call Lululemon and have them give you a refund for the difference. I believe a few other items have been price adjusted - Scuba Hoodie IV, Love Crew Neck Tee

I really liked this top. I was sort of blah about it in the original colors but in the right color I actually really like the design features on this with the ruffled hem, and the nice thin breathable UV fabric. I can see wearing this a ton as a To/From and warmup item for Crossfit, but I can also see myself wearing this casually with jeans or with leggings. Another thing I liked is that this thin fabric doesn't contour to the body, it floats away at the front and back. This is perfect to hide any role -polly bits I have. My only knock against it is that it's short - but then again, that really suits this design.
Sole Training Long Sleeve Black Grape

I got the long sleeve version of this but was tempted by this one too. What won me over is that I preferred black grape. I think I'm probably going to eventually get this one too because I'm really loving short sleeve tees with crew necks for olympic lifting (chest over bar cleavage issues) in technical fabrics, but maybe I want to wait and see if it comes in black grape or another fun color. Deep Forest would be perfect!

I may have made a few purchases at Lululemon today.

In love with these!! What was I thinking? I had been complaining for years now that the item I most need from Lululemon are luxtreme run tights without any mesh, and here they where right under my nose. This is what I most like to wear for Crossfit and especially for lifting so I had to snatch these up. They are very soft and opaque but with slight compression in the waist. I found these flattering and comfortable and a great length for me.

I would have really loved this top a lot if it wasn't for the top to bottom mesh in the back. This tee has really great design details on it with a nicely edged neck, cuffed hem and flattering yet loose fit. I really liked that this didn't look boxy or short on me. I've learned to really appreciate doing olympic lifting in these technical material tee shirts because the higher neckline means I'm not completely exposing my boobs in the chest over bar position. I'm definitely going to consider this one for markdown but to be honest, that mesh back really makes me cranky because this tee is otherwise perfection. The amount of ventilation you get with a fully meshed back is minuscule on an already light weight top like this - it's so unnecessary.

I even liked the cut of this tee with my jeans for casual wear.

Oh my!! I fell in love hard with this print. I really didn't think much of it with the online web photos but I've seen a few try-on photos on Facebook and the print is so much more flattering and dimensional than it's portrayed online. This morning I saw an especially great photo of them so I decided to give them a chance today and I'm so glad I did. The jacquard luon is a knit but it's a really soft stretchy knit, not one of those really stiff itchy jacquards that lululemon has put out over winter. I was surprised to see so much blue in the print in person - online the print looks really faded and washed out. I might have passed on these if they only came in the longer length but because they come in hi-rise cropped I had to get them.

These are the ones I ended up with. I liked both the 7/8 and this one but the cropped length is more versatile for me for working out in.

These are a nice light track pant for spring, and I love the black grape. Unfortunately they are too long on me and I would probably hem them to 7/8 length. They look fine with folded hems but I think in this style of tapered leg I prefer a cleaner edge and a shorter length. I also really liked the smooth wide waistband on these. I don't need track pants for casual wear so these are not on my want list, but they aren't bad at all.

Loop Back Hoodie size down - 8
I tried this hoodie on the other day in my TTS and it was definitely too big. This jacket looks way better sized down, and it's still roomy, it's just much less boxy. Because I purchased Fast And Free Crops and the Arrow Jacquard WUC's, this is off my 'maybe' list.

My store didn't get the new Fast And Free 7/8 Tights in Black Grape yet, which is what I'm after, but they did have the new Loop Back line in this intriguing 'acid rubber' tie die/acid wash cotton terry. I think bot the acid wash grey and black would look so nice layered with stark black. In fact, I liked the look of the hoodie layered under my black leather jacket a lot. The items I tried on where a pass though because I really hated the cut and fit of these pieces.

Loop Back Hoodie TTS 10
This was slightly tempting because I really liked the distressed color, and the softness of the french terry, but I was surprised at how loose and boxy this was. If this had been in the cut of many retro lululemon hoodies with the longer length and contouring in the waist, and oversized hood I would have been all over this one. Those old styles really emphasized curves, waist and boobs while this really hides my waist and boobs. The style and fit of the cut of this was a pass but I may go back tomorrow and try a size down and also the acid washed black, just in case the size down solves the boxyness issues.

*My jeans are AG Ex Boyfriend which I got at the Nordstrom Warehouse sale. Love them!

I love tapered joggers but wow are these ever 'mom jeans' cut. They where such an awful cut around the waist and hips that I couldn't even give you a butt shot. If you want a long butt, these are for you. The waist was snug going up and it's a higher rise but then the legs where looser, especially in the lower leg. These where a hard pass.

I believe these where 1.5" inseam and way too short for me. I may have considered them in the acid wash black in a slightly longer length but these won't work for me. I think these will look cute on some longer leaner legs but I'm just way too curvy for these hip emphasizing cuts.  If you have slight curves and you want to play them up this 'mom jean' cut would really work well for you but I'm way too pear shaped for this look.

This is going to be a really unhelpful fit review because I'm really undecided about how I feel about this jacket. I should hate it...I hate boxy, and I hate cropped. I am pear shaped which means I have a freakishly long torso, and this jacket is wide at my narrowest parts.... but I kinda don't hate it. I do feel like it needs the sleeves rolled up or pulled up to give the boxiness some shape. This is my TTS 10 and it fits really big, but like I said, it's cropped, so sizing down would make it too short.

Have you tried this jacket on? What are your thoughts?

I'm so sorry it's been so long since I last did a fit review for you guys. For some reason the stores have been very slow in getting product that's already uploaded online. I ended up at my store today to return the Deep Rouge Define Jacket (it's beautiful by the way) and I saw that they'd finally received the Going Places Hooded Jacket.

I liked the jacket overall but I didn't feel the lust I felt when I first saw it uploaded on the Hong Kong site before Christmas. I think I was hoping it would be the more stretchy version of spacer fabric used in Embrace The Space Hoodie and pants which I think has a more flattering drape - although that would also make it less structured. This is my usual size 10 and I found it really roomy in the chest and arms but the fabric stuck a bit at my hips despite not being snug in that area. Because of this fabric drag in the hip area and looseness in the upper torso paired with the thicker more structured fabric, I was getting bunching and folds around my middle that I found unflattering and really bulky looking. I decided to leave the jacket behind today but I'm definitely going to consider it for markdown. My store had a very full display of sizes in all the colors so I think there is a good possibility it will get marked down over the next few weeks.
