Markdown Alert! Speed Wunder Tight *NULUX Mixed Marble Print

As a prep for tomorrows WMTM upload, I anticipate seeing this markdown on the website and across stores. The Speed Wunder Tights where marked down at my store from $138 to $79 and when I first got there there where all sizes available but by the time I got out of the fitting room there where only two sizes left. Either they sold through or people where trying them on in the fitting rooms or hanging on to them in store.

I strongly considered purchasing these as I love the feel of the fabric and the cut of the Speed Wunder Tight but I was unconvinced I'd wear the print very often and my husband confirmed that they where not spectacular enough. I'd have snatched them up in sold black for sure.

  1. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't wear these even if they were free. It's funny how "sales" and "markdowns" can have such a big influence people though...

    1. I know, totally. I stood in the store for 20 minutes holding on to them reasoning with myself. I'm glad I didn't buy.

    3. I'm going to check out my local store to see if they are on MD at $79. I will pick up a pair of size 8 if they still have them. Thank you for the heads up

    4. @Anon 1:55PM, spot on. Precisely what I was going to say about how people get sucked in. The reviews of these being sheer was so scathing. Myself, I cannot stand the marble pattern, just looks dirty/grungy. If they do appeal to you and you held out for the MD and capitalised, excellent!

I don't think $79 is exactly that cheap haha and I work a full-time job/good wage. Yeah, yeah, it's way down from the full price, noted. Which the full price should never be what it is, as we all know, do you think LLL corporate is finally learning. I think the brand is ripe for takeover or caput.

  3. That print is such a waste of the nice fabric...

  4. already?! wasn't this released only a few weeks ago?

  5. I wish they would just list things at a reasonable price to begin with instead of ridiculous price and then marking them down to what they should've been to begin with. I thought it was pricey years ago and now it's just out of hand.

  6. They weren't too terribly sheer on me (would work with nude undies), but the lack of pockets was a deal-breaker. I do agree that the fabric felt great.

    1. i bought them full price and don't regret it. I love the fabric. I run in them twice a week. they are not see thru on me and i wear light pinkish/nude color thongs. i'm 5'10" and size 4. they fit like 7/8 length and really like that length. i really love wild print running tights. I run on the shoulder of narrow hilly roads in Vermont and wearing loud bold prints helps in being very visible.

  7. I actually really like this print a lot. I bought the Speed tights and the matching energy bra. I was sold on the fabric. I wear my white CRB I with the outfit and love it. I'm very voluptuous on the ass and boobs (size 10). As long as I'm wearing nude color underwear, they are not too bad on me. The print makes it difficult to see through.

  8. $79 is a fair price for these tights. I fingered them the in the store, and found them to be supple and soft. But I find the print simply hideous, markdown or not.

  9. These would be worth it for me for $79.00 too. I loved them, I just couldn't give in to that price. I wouldn't care honestly if I had money to throw around, that is just too damn much. Thanks for the intel. I'll head to my store after work and see what happens.

  10. That's pretty insulting to the people that paid double, with them only being out for 1 month! Ouch! They're going to see that people are going to be more willing to wait for sales instead of paying full price if they keep it up.

    1. I dunno, "insulting". Each person has their comfort level on price and "just gotta have" threshold. Plus a nearsighted person in a room with a pink elephant could have seen that this was the same and the tights were destined for markdown. How much markdown, who knows. LLL has made this move many times before within a month, sometimes even 2 weeks, of a product coming out. Remember that weirdo wannabe Chanel or some such, cropped winter coat from a few years ago? They couldn't clear those quick enough! I didn't buy one of those and these marble tights are in no way appealing to me at full or reduced price.

I have about hit my limit on LLL price increases (e.g. Swiftly tops, bras) and elimination of CRB1. But it's OK because my LLL spending has been significantly reduced in the past few years. Actually makes me happy. Sucks for them but it is their own doing.

    2. I agree maybe not insulting but definitely painful if you paid full price. I don't care for the print but $79 is too much for even semisheer pants.

    3. No, it's insulting.

    4. Hahaha Anonymous 3:05 wasn't even me (original poster) but that made me laugh. I get annoyed when I get something and the next day it's significantly cheaper. Most stores have a policy where if it happens they will refund you the difference within two weeks - that's just good customer service.

  11. They are sold out online in size 2 &!4:

  12. Off topic--got the nulux tight really like it wish they were longer,I like the puddling at the ankles with longer pants. Got the rulu hoodie and love it! Got my jacket size.

  13. It must be just your store @lululemonblogger - I called kits and they didn't markdown their prices.

  14. Is it part of LLL's marketing to keep us all on our toes, I loved the Restore tee and went to a couple of LLLs in London who didn't have the right colour in the right size then did one last ditch attempt at one final LLL and they had them all on markdown. They're still full price in the other stores. I've got bras on markdown that are still on the website for full price. It feels as though they create this buzz to buy as soon as you see something in your size because it'll be sold out. I bought some new things from the UK upload (they had a few pieces that in theory look really good) but they sold out within a couple of hours. Fortunately I work at home as a writer so I can keep on it to check what's happening! But they seemed to be geared to create an addiction to their brand? Although the more cr*p they produce the more we get weaned off it.

    1. Yes, I agree Lottie_Lulu. For sure, discovering Lululemon at first is fun and exciting but it really does seem to end up sucking you in and creating an addiction. After a while it all just gets so to be super frustrating and annoying though... at least that's how it was for me... after a while I just end up feeling fed up with the whole thing. These days with all the unjustified price hikes, crappy designs, etc,etc it is really just making it so much easier to wean off of LLL as you say. I do still have a few staple items that I still like and check out to see what new colours they come in but other than that I don't bother with anything else anymore.

  15. I was at our store yesterday and saw a FTBW bra in spacedye grey on the sale rack (just 3 bucks off, from $52 to $49). I told one of the GECs that this pattern was just released a few weeks ago and I just got mine at full price! Apparently the store doesn't carry this color and it was a return from a customer, so it just went to the sale rack. BTW, I noticed that our store no longer carry FTB and FTBW in new patterns. Looks like they will only be stocking the FTBT and FTBZ ones.

  16. I think you made the right decision LLM, if you are not in love with them and have a strong feeling you won't be reaching for them to wear very much then even paying $79. plus tax is too much to pay. I am not surprised they are marking them down right and with the bad reviews on them they were forced to drop the price significantly. I think LLL is going to try and move as much product as they can this month with small markdowns prior to November/December holiday/warehouse sales. We have seen this already with new product moving quickly to WMTM that is not moving at regular price. I think we will see further reduced markdowns on WMTM if the product isin't selling, again trying to sell the product before holiday/warehouse sales. The last thing they want or need is a lot of inventory on their books at year-end. Their problem may be that a lot of their newer product is not desirable to their customers even at a warehouse sale price.

  17. I didn't see these uploaded to the Canadian site today, it was a pretty disappointing WMTM actually. I really am annoyed that the midnight bloom speeds that I bought not even 3 weeks ago are already on markdown. I guess I'm going to have to hold out for things now and not jump on them first thing because 3 other pairs that I have also hit WMTM recently. I was hoping some FTB bras and the ceremony sweat pant would end up on markdown but no such luck.

  18. I didn't see them on the US side either. A number of stores in my area have my size (per the app) so I'll check around this weekend but they may not be marked down here yet.

  20. I was in store today and couldn't find any flow y bras and the ED's told me they too were going online only. I am small chested but still can't wear the ftb series. I feel like I am falling out of it on the bottom so the flow y was a staple for me.

    1. :( flow y's are one of my favorites because they work with the original CRB perfectly and are minimal no fuss with straps.

  21. I'm with you @dogrunner...FTB's aren't enough coverage but energy bras are too much...flow y's are perfect. I was worried that something like the flow y's going "online only" (i.e discontinued) was going to happen because they have been pretty scarce in stores and online lately. I had regained hope that they wouldn't be discontinued because a new color was uploaded this week but now I'm discouraged again

    1. ladies, I believe they are redesigning them. I remember seeing somewhere that going forward they are going to have an A-B cup run and a C-D run.

  22. this isn't on markdown yet. my guess is that someone purchased it online & returned it in store.

  23. It was the complete size run, not just one.

  24. These were on markdown in my local store (California). Easy pass on them. I agree with Anon 2:30 lol
