My WMTM order just arrived and I'm really pleased to say that the Heathered Dark Cobalt Cool Racerback Tank I got is really nice! I wasn't sure what to expect since this was a never before seen color, and I suspect many of these Cool Racerback where whipped together for markdown. This particular color has only ever been seen in the men's line. The material blend is 48% Nylon 44% Polyester so it's not an incredibly soft CRB, but it's thick and camouflages lumps and bumps, and the color is nicely saturated. It's definitely not one of the silky slinky heathered CRB's.

I'm sorry I don't have true try on photos for you or a fit review. I'm in the middle of doing my pre Christmas festivities cleaning and my order just arrived and I noticed something about these pants that I wanted to share. First of all, they are divinely soft luon and very heavily weighted. Secondly, when I tried them on I was really confused at the sheen I was seeing in the black portion. The pants fit looser than a lot of my other wunder under pants (because it's a thickly knit luon) so there is bunching of material in certain areas, but the dark portion of the pants had a bit of a sheen. On closer inspection I could see that there where metallic threads imbedded in the 'weft' side of the knit. I thought that perhaps these where silverescent but the material tag says 84% Nylon, 16% Lycra. I'm curious for those of you that also ordered these if you are also getting the same sheen in the darker portions. They are otherwise gorgeous and so soft so I'll be keeping them - but the price!!
I also ordered the Mini Cinder Lace Wunder Under Pants and I am in love with the print.

I'm slightly embarrassed that every personal photo I've uploaded on this blog over the past three weeks I've been wearing these same crops. They are the only denimy crops I own and I promise I've only been wearing them 3 out of 7 days a week. At this point, I had to address the crop situation to you. Expect to seem them in more try-ons until I find a new pair of crops I love as much which will probably be never.
I had a really fun shopping date with a good friend of mine today and we went to Nordstrom's for bra and undie shopping, as you do, and we totally bypassed the athletic department which is just crazy. This is why I didn't get to even look at the Ivy Park stuff for the few of you that are interested. Next time though! We both ordered the Making Moves Long Sleeve which awaited us for try ons when we both got home (respectively) this afternoon. She got her TTS in black (which I tried on the other day in my TTS) and I ordered the white in a size up and we exchanged text photos of them to each other. Her concern was because she is larger in the bust and very petite and slim that a top this cut would look like a tent - and I don't think it did based on the photo thanks to the seaming detail, the neckline and the snugness over the bust and in the arms. We worried that the white would be too white and tenty and that I should probably exchange mine for black. When I tried it on though I actually really liked it a lot. I like that it hugs at the bust and then flares out a bit and in profile you don't get too much of a triangle shape. For my shape, sizing up was definitely the right call, particularly in white. For my friend, her TTS was loose in the bust. Many people are buying this top in a size up in store though to allow more room in the hip. The white is very thin and shear but it's also extremely soft and really pretty on. I just feel very paranoid that I will get makeup on it or something that will be very obvious and won't wash out. I also worry that with the white you have to be very choosy on what you layer under it since it is so sheer. That being said, my white striped Tuck & Flow gets thrown around at the gym and it's absolutely fine. I'm definitely leaning towards keeping this one.

Sorry about this terrible photo of the Deep Zinfandel CRB. I will try to get you a better lit photo tomorrow to show you how gorgeous the color is. My point of sharing it here is to let you know this is a surprisingly thick CRB. Probably the thickest I've felt in a very long time. The only one that comes close is my old Bali Breeze which was also an anomaly in how thick it was. This is an all Nylon CRB and none Polyester. I know it sold out online but if you see it in store or can call around to other stores for it and the color speaks to you this one is worth hunting down.
I know my upload post from Tuesday was pretty ranty but it turns out my items are winners afterall. The Kanto Catch Me Tank in Menthol is stunning in person and incredibly soft and thick. Amazing RULU and my absolute favourite color in a solid without a stripe or pattern. WIN! I was telling Lulu Addict the other night that I went ahead and ordered it because it checked the box of 1. Nice solid saturated color in a color I love, 2. a RULU run pullover in a streamlined design 3. Flattering design. I think I was stuck on hoping for a solid Menthol Tuck And Flow LS or some design that I gravitate to more than the design of the Kanto but I'm so glad I ordered this one anyways. It's a beauty! The only 'issue' with it is that there is some dye staining on it from where it came folded. There are some streaks of darker menthol down the middle of the chest and down one of the arms but I'm pretty certain that the dye will disperse once it's been washed. I have a CRB that came like this before and after washing it it was fine. I'm so looking forward to pairing this long sleeve with my Alberta Lake Fluffed Up Vest.

Drop It Like It's Hot Tank - TTS 10
I really, really love this tank. I especially love it in black but I really like it in Menthol too. I got this tank primarily to wear to Crossfit but I also had an eye to wearing it casually in the warmer months. Some readers had mentioned that this tank looks a bit short in the front and I agree that it definitely is shorter than a CRB and I wish it had been slightly longer since I have a really tall torso on my short frame. That said, I can definitely live with it this length as it's still well over my hips. This is a looser fitting TTS but it's not overly baggy, it just floats away from your body. The neckline is also a touch low and loose but I think if you sized down in it you wouldn't get that pretty blousy look in the side and back. I really love the way the mesh pleat in the back drapes. Love this tank and will consider the other two colors if they ever go on markdown.
Fluffin' Awesome Jacket size 12 (one size up)
I did a quick in store try on of my TTS 10 in the Fluffin' Awesome Jacket and decided that if it uploaded in a 12 I'd like to try it on at home. I wasn't sure I loved the jacket in this camo in my TTS but trying it on at home sized up I actually really love it. I shouldn't like a camo puffy jacket because the idea of it is a little dated but in this muted version of camo with gold/copper tones I do really like it. I haven't decided I'm keeping it yet but thinking about my kids outdoor soccer practice beginning in just a few weeks and going on into fall/winter I'm tempted to keep it.

The Fluffiest Vest TTS 10
I tried on The Fluffiest Vest the other day in Soft Earth but my store didn't have this Cypress Plaid Print in so I decided to check it out before pulling tags off. I'm torn. The Soft Earth is definitely more feminine and glam with the soft coppery toned green and butterfly liner and this Cypress Plaid is more cute/varsity preppy. I can see myself wearing the Soft Earth one more with both jeans and a nice top or dressed down in a more sporty way. The plaid I see more as a running around/casual vest. I'm overthinking it but thats how we do here on the Lulumum blog.
Mini Ziggy Snake Cool Racerback TTS 10
I just love this Cool Racerback. I'm not a snakeskin print fan at all but I love it in this unconventional colorway. It's a polyester blend but the back of it is blue so it doesn't fade to white and it's pretty soft and silky. Definitely I am keeping this one.
Biggy So Fly Butterfly Cool Racerback TTS 10
I liked this print a lot more in person than I thought I'd like it based on the online photo. I was almost certain I'd be returning it but when I tried it on I actually quite liked the print and the fact that the butterfly's on it aren't very defined. It's also a polyester blend CRB and the back of it is green but it's not as soft as the CRB above and it's definitely warmer. Jury is out on this one but I'm leaning towards keeping it for the print.
I just arrived home to my delivery of the Street To Studio Pants in Bark Chocolate and I got to quickly try them on. I absolutely love the color!! I was a bit worried about how it would pair with other colors but here it is with Heathered Black and I think it looks really cute. Colors in this swiftly material are tricky because sometimes they can look great online where they are saturated and then when you see them in person they are washed out thanks to the lighter stripe in the material. These and the Gator Green ones are the only ones I've liked enough to keep in any of the Street To Studio Pants, and the In Flux Crops in Fatigue Green and Black.
Jet Crop Slims Heathered Slate, Cool Racerback Tank
My Jet Crop Slims and Cool Racerback arrived. I'm quite happy with these Jet Crops because even though they were initially listed as being Luxtreme (corrected online this morning) they are actually Heathered luon and so they feel softer and have less sheen then they would have if they were luxtreme. I passed on the black luxtreme Jet Crop Slims when I saw them in Seattle a few weeks ago because I didn't care for the shine on the material. These fit TTS - if you sized down in the regular Jet Crops you don't need to size down in the Slims as they are narrow to the leg and pretty much a different cut altogether.
The Pistachio Cool Racerback is lovely, but if you are worried about brightness or neon I'd call this color closer to a bright lime than Pistachio. It is maybe a touch less vibrant than lime but thats it. It's very pretty in person though and thick and opaque so if you are thinking about getting it once it hits stores (sold out online in Canada within 30 minutes) I'd jump on it first and then decide.

Here are some color comparisons in natural light against a neutral background. I pulled out all my greens except Green Been and Savage because those are too different on the green scale to be useful but if you'd like to see that let me know
I was surprised at how muted Menthol is next to it. Menthol is a top lulu favourite for me so I have it in Heathered and Solid. I actually love these colors next to each other.
Antidote was really different. Much darker and yellower.
The closest I'd say is Clear Mint but it is a lot paler than Pistachio by a long shot. If you have the Wild Lime Cool Racerback from a few years ago and you got this Pistachio I'd love to see those two colors compared.

A reader suggested a comparison to Frond Green and I remembered I have this Free To Be Tank on my sell pile (ignored for a long time) and although it's luxtreme and has a different sheen it's a really good comparison. The colors are pretty similar actually but Frond has more yellow and is more saturated. They are noticeably different but I was surprised that Frond was actually a closer reference than Clear Mint.
Here is a good color comparison of the Heathered Lullaby Cool Racerback to Heathered Blue Calm. They are quite similar but Lullaby is more saturated and definitely more purple than blue. They are the same thickness and softness which is nice. I find them both pretty opaque, thick and soft.
I ordered the Jewelled Magenta Power Y on a whim but it's going back. I love how it looks but I can't work out in this tank without layering another bra under it and that just kills the look. Maybe in another must have color I'd get one just for casual wear.
I love the Heathered Lullaby Cool Racerback and am definitely keeping it. The Om Pant I'm not 100% sure on. I do like it but my issue with it is that the bottom of the wide luxtreme waistband, the seam that connects the waist to the pant, cuts in slightly leaving and indentation. The In Flux Crops which have a similar waist don't do this but I guess since the actual pant here is lower rise, that seam hits me in a funny spot. They are quite comfortable though and cool. I can see why a lot of people size up in these for a more flowy look. TTS is fine but they are more fitted in my thigh area than they should be and the low rise makes me want to try a size up.
This is a really, really good mail day! I ended up selling my Bruised Berry Dance Studio Jacket after the upload in anticipation of falling in love with the Bumble Berry one. The danger in not selling Bruised Berry before the Bumble Berry arrived was that I'd somehow talk myself into just keeping both 'for a while, to think about it'. Well, the Bumble Berry Dance Studio Jacket is the prettiest one I have ever seen. The color photographs a lot pinker than it is in real life. In real life the color is just as red/cranberry as the Bumble Berry Cool Racerback and not pinker like the 105F Singlet in the same color. It is a stunner! I think this red is super flattering on most complexions. I stay TTS in the Dance Studio Jacket but many people like to size up. You don't lose any of the flattering body hugging curves by sizing up. I'm not sure if it's my imagination but this one feels slightly looser or more relaxed than my others.
My other winner is the Awesoma Henley. I wasn't as interested in this Henley until I tried it on and saw how flattering and slimming it is. It is a very tricky fit if you are larger busted and short in the torso because the neckline is so plunging that it will expose you. If you have a small bust and a long torso your bust is sits lower on your chest so its not as scandalous. You can also layer it over a tank if you need more modesty. I size up in this to a 12 though because I found my TTS was too form fitting and clingy. I need RULU to have a bit more of a drape, with a skimming fit on me otherwise you see too many lumps and bumps.
Yay! I went to the US today primarily to look for soccer stuff for my daughter and also to pick up my upload Monday items from the US upload. Since we were already going to the US today I opted to order two items from the US side that I was coveting and that Canada has not gotten yet. The Inkwell 105F singlet is super pretty and very neutral. I love a good neutral that doesn't give me the head to toe black luon ninja look. The Bumble Berry Cool Racerback is very pretty and soft and opaque, although on the thin side. My only complaint on it is that it doesn't have the reversible variegated stitching on the inside that make CRB's seem just a little more fancy. Other than that I really like it.

I'm still considering the Plush Petal Scuba so I tried it on with the Bumble Berry CRB and it looks super pretty paired together. Still thinking on it though as I am not a scuba person.
The inside hood script print. I'm pretty sure this is the manifesto written out over and over again. I hate the manifesto so I'm glad its not obvious and you really have to try hard to read what is written. The hood lining is my favourite part though.
Sigh. I am so sad about the Exhalation Pullover. I love the color combo on this (more than the Bordeaux Drama) and even don't mind the lack of thumb holes but I am so sad that it is not more a-lined like last years version. It sticks right at the hips but flares out at the waist where the pockets gap open. If I was built like a tube shape I wouldn't have minded but the biggest fail for this top is that the hem is disastrously proportioned to the rest of the pullover. I think last years was also softer, but I don't find this one not soft.
Pulled down lower on the hips it fits the pocket gap issue, but it looks snug.
West2East Bordeaux Drama Cool Racerback. I did a return today and saw the Inkwell version of this tank and felt pretty tempted to bring it home, but I like the Bordeaux Drama version slightly more. I find this version of a Bordeaux CRB so much nicer than last years Tonka Stripe or even the solid version that was spotted in a few places this year. The Heathered Bordeaux Drama parts of the stripe are very, very pretty! Keeper!
The Fuel Green Ebb To Street Tank is the item I ended up returning today. I loved the color so much and in this fabric it really looks like a saturated jewel tone but I don't wear this tank much for working out and I'm not sure how much I'll get to wear it casually so I returned it and possibly I'll repurchase but I hope we see Fuel Green in a CRB or other items.
When I popped into my store this afternoon to do my return of the Ebb To Street Tank and some other items, I saw the Heathered Blue Calm Racerback with one left in my size so I snatched it up. It is a very pretty heathered cloud blue with obvious heathered flecks of white. If my store had not had this one in I would have probably grabbed the West2East Inkwell CRB instead but the Heathered Blue Calm was too pretty to pass on. I also saw the Roll Down Cotton Bordeaux Drama WU's and they were so tempting because they are incredibly soft. Much softer than the other cotton Roll Down WU's I've felt. I just don't wear WU's casually and its not an item I could wear for workouts so I let reason prevail this time. I also saw the Bumble Berry Wunder Unders and the luon was really nice quality and the color was vibrant. Had they been Roll Down Wunder Under Crops I would have absolutely snatched them up but i've decided to try and only get the luon roll downs from now on since they are my absolute favourite for Crossfit.
