My store had the Making Moves line in today (tank, shorts, crops) but I didn't feel up to trying them on. I gravitated to the Long Sleeve though which sadly only comes in black and white. I also saw Real Quick Crops in Blurry Bell print and Kayak Blue and Blurry Bell High Times Pant. No Align Crops yet but they are possibly coming next Monday.
Making Moves Long Sleeve - TTS 10
I really liked the Making Moves Long Sleeve as it is soft RULU with venting but I worry about the back pleats. The back pleats are made of what I think is Tencil, or it may be a stiff thin luxtreme. My worry is that the pleats will wash out and deform really quickly since they are just creased but not sewn in. You can see in the lower picture that as the pleats are disturbed a bit and buckle out, they lose their crispness. I'm going to think on this one a bit. I did really love the look of the top on and even from the plainer front but I would really hate this top of it lost it's cutest detail.
Real Quick Singlet - TTS 10
This singlet is super pretty in person. I just love it in this print. For some crazy reason I left it behind in store but I may go back and pick it up. It also came in Kayak Blue and Black but this print is stunning.
Love Tee II - TTS 10
I think this is Deep Zinfandel and Lilac stripes. This is the softest Love Tee I've felt so far so I ended up bringing this one home. Do I need another love tee? no I don't. But I really liked it in this color. I found the TTS 10 really loose fitting compared to my others, but the size 8 was snugger than the size 8 love tee I own.

I tried on the Embrace Hoodie Knit in store today and really liked it, although it's not entirely flattering on since the knit pattern is so pronounced. It's a roomy and comfortable TTS and I probably would have snatched one up in a pretty color. The neutrals weren't calling my name today though so it stayed in store but I definitely see myself picking one up at a later date.
I think I got to my store too early today because they had tons and tons of boxes they were unpacking and I didn't get to see what was in them. I'm told the Robson St. store has Gratitude Wraps in today but I'm pretty sure they are last years Deep Zinfandel. They also had the new Parallel Striped Define Jacket and Purple Herringbone Vinyasa as well as the Ultraviolet Mini Check Vinyasa.
Yay! My Monday night order arrived and thank goodness something didn't make the cut and can be returned.
First off, the Chai Time (original version) is a winner. It is sheer, and very light and definitely summer weight vs the Chai Time II which is thicker and definitely winter weight. Its something to throw on over a cool racerback or power y and it looks fantastic with jeans. I have the Original Chai time (shown below) which I've worn the hell out of and to tell you the truth, I have not babied it at all. Every time we go glamping (camping with a trailer) I pack this sweater along and its what I wear in the evenings at the campfire and to the beach. My original though is a size 8 and I wish I'd stuck to size 10 in it because its definitely shorter (mind you I'm sure its taken a few turns in the dryer). For how much thinner this Boolux knit is it has not snagged at all while my thicker Chai Time II has snagged. This new Barely Pink version I got in my size 10 and its not too different from my 8 but its got the length and slouch I want.

The Opal Dance Studio Jacket I ordered is going back for sure. The color is pretty and if you missed out on the Bali Breeze version than this is definitely worth your time. I think my Bali Breeze fits a bit looser too but I'm not sure. When I tried on the Deep Zinfandel DSJ that was out a month or so ago it also felt snugger. I like Bali Breeze better because its much more green and blue, where as Opal tends more towards Aquamarine I think (I don't have that color to compare it too). Had it been a mintier greener color I would have considered keeping it but I don't feel the online photo is accurate at all.
I ended up ordering the Bruised Berry DSJ on Monday night which was uploaded to the US site. I have an address in the US I can use but I tend to reserve it for only 'sure thing' purchases because making returns is a pain since you can only do an exchange for cross border purchases, plus I have to drive out there to pick it up. I already had a package waiting for me in Blaine so I opted to give it a try. I'm likely to keep Bruised Berry and forget about the Pigment that I'd been eyeing which is currently only in Australia.

Some color comparisons with Very Green and Bali Breeze. The Bali Breeze Cool Racerback is a bit lighter than the jacket so thats probably why it looks a lot closer to Opal.
Run A Marathon Crops
I tried these on today in the Pretty Palm Print and I absolutely hated them. They are low rise (and in run crops that has never before been an issue) and seemed to fit smaller than my Run Mod Moves Crops, and the print is white on the reverse side so when the material stretches out you see quite a bit of fade in certain areas. The printed ones also have a weird feel to them compared to the black. Blah. To bad, I love the print and was so excited for these crops but they were just yuck in real life

I went to my store this afternoon to check out the latest and I was shocked that I loved the Petite Fleur Wunder Unders so much. They are slightly textured like denim luon but without the thickness or fuzzyness. They are very compressive though and smoothing and the print really hides imperfections. I went with size 8 (I buy WU's in both 8's and 10's depending) and the 8 gave slight muffin top, however, I liked the compression. They are completely opaque in a squat, with and without flash, even in my size down. My worry with this print was that they may make my legs look heavier or thicker (sort of like the Platoon Print WU's that were uploaded monday made the model look slightly shorter) but I don't think they are making my legs look bigger than they already are thanks to the movement of the print.
I have a dilemma though because I was planning on using my gift card for the Camo Run: Mod Moves Crops that are upcoming (in Australia right now) and so I have to choose between this pair and those, or I can sell something else to make it a wash. What I like about these is that although they are busy, they are very neutral and go with almost all of my Cool Racerbacks. The Camo however, as much as I love Camo, may be limited with how much I can pair with it. Both are equally useful for me for Crossfit function wise - the Petite Fleur having the potential to pick up more dirt off dirty mats.
I stopped by my store today with the intent of returning my Pow Stripe Angel Wing/Plum Cool Racerback that I ordered on upload and I ended up exchanging it for the Ebb To Street Tank in Cornflower Blue. In person, these tanks are so gorgeous. Beautiful saturated colors, extremely soft, and really comfortable. I went with my larger CRB size 10 (I do 8's sometimes) and it fits perfect except the bra is pretty much just two cup pockets. The inner shelf bra is so soft and none compressive that for crossfit I will have to wear an Energy Bra under it. For casual wear though it's fine without layering a bra underneath it. That was almost a deal breaker until I tried it on with an Energy Bra and surprisingly the back straps are almost completely hidden and you see the cute peak of bra at the top of the neckline but thats all. I had reservations with this tank when I saw it online because as someone with a none firm tummy, I need there to be zero cling in the trouble areas. Going with the size 10 was perfect though because it just sort of skims your body without being glued on.
If you are on the fence, get this tank. The material is extremely luxuriously soft, and the ribbing and texture make it look really pretty as a casual layering piece as well.
Another thing that I got today was the Forme II Jacket in Angel Wing Hyper Stripe. That was a really naughty and out of budget purchase for me since my original intent was to exchange the CRB for the Hyper Stripe Angel Wing Vinyasa Scarf. This Forme II jacket always catches my eye in store every time I go in, but I've never allowed myself to try it on. I'm obsessed with Angel Stripe Hyper Stripe and so today, I tried it and fell totally in love. I did like the Vinyasa but I'm not much of a scarf wearer and I didn't care for the inside of it being solid Angel Wing so that stayed in store and the Forme II jacket came home for a visit instead. I'm keeping it though, because I love it. I opted for the 10 in that (my Contempos are size 8, my Defines where size 12, my Dance Studio Jackets are size 10), and its comfortable and relaxed.

SO I tried on the Studio Softshell again today and now I'm uncertain about it. One one hand I love it, and on the other hand I think it doesn't fit as nicely as it should on me. I love it from the back and the sides, love the hood, the front shoulders are a bit off to me. The material is stiff and you can really see that in the pictures, it doesn't relax down onto your body. Its soft and cozy though on the inside and the softshell does have a bit of stretch.
My preference for size was my sort of size down 8 because the TTS 10 was really big. I can easily fit a bulky sweater under the 8 and in fact I was wearing my Dance Studio Jacket underneath the Angel Wing *Tweed one. For reference though, I'm a bit between an 8 and a 10. this was awful on me. It was really tight at the hip and flared out at the waist. I didn't even want to bother trying on a larger size. I got the 8 by mistake when I thought it was the Studio Softshell. Nothing against the jacket, it's just not made for my body type.

This definitely felt like an updated fit from last years. I really liked last years version but I also really like this years version and I think it fixes the issue a lot of people had with last years boat neck. The neckline sits narrower then last years very wide boatneck, and the length of the top feels overall longer. Last year, the fit around the middle was a bit slouchier over the cuffed hem. Loved the color. It also felt a bit thicker than last years.

This vest fit pretty much like a scuba without arms. It does not come with detachable arms, its just a vest. It came in Beaming Blue, Raspberry (I think) or perhaps Pinkaliceous and Faded Zap. I wonder if these were actually a batch of Scubas that were incorrectly made in the sleeves so they saved the material and created vests. Makes sense since the colorways are from the summer. I'm sorry, I didn't check the price on it.
Wont Stop Vest, Size 10
This was a surprising item. I really liked the materials in this which is a matte Glyde, and the inside is RULU but it's so soft I had to double check because it felt like a cotton jersey. I'm not sure how much warmth this will provide on a cold run, but it's snugly and I love the cuffed hem. I'm intrigued enough with the materials that I want to try on the Can't Stop Jacket. It did fit snug though in the size 10, comfortable yet not relaxed looking so I'd probably opt for a darker color.
The Ziggy Wee September Glo
I was really surprised at the material of the ziggy items because last year I hated it. Last years version was a loopy knit weave that felt very hot, and was blended with polyester. This years version is soft and silky and feels like static luon, and is all Nylon/Lycra. I'm confused as to how the print can look so similar yet it's obviously made in a very different way.
