  1. Everything looks so boxy and ill fitting. Missing the old days of cute clothes that were great technical pieces.

  2. Looks the same as the last two lines of fleece items 😪

  3. You know what my favourite thing about winter is? Getting to wear layers and layers of huge, thick, boxy, shapeless pullovers, and feeling utterly sexless and miserable.

    1. HAHAHAHAHA! Inside the mind of a Lulu designer.

    2. Honestly, I think they're on serious drugs. There's no other explanation. Designing for Lulu is not that hard. You have 70% of the collection be classics that everyone loves in a variety of colors and feminine, sporty prints, 5% is always the wack job numbers like the runsie and forever alone scarf, and the remaining 25% you play around with and hope to create 3 or 4 pieces per year that achieve "classic" status. Honestly, not that hard. And how arrogant do you have to be to think that your genius is so much greater than all the designs that have come before? That everything old should be destroyed because only your vision is beautiful and true. I think it's called cocaine. I really do.

    3. & anon 11:01 11:08 & 12:32. Thanks for the huge genuine laugh you gave me in a miserable day!! I forgot about the forever alone scarf. I am so fond of that peice as when I saw it on the website I laughed so hard I cried. Seriously. Completely agree with all of your comments...But I will also say I Had a gratitude moment today when I put on my face the frost half zip in black swan this morning. At least we have nice lulu pieces from the past to comfort us in the present. As to the future, I will remain hopeful that the riff- raff that are ruining Lulu leave and one day Lulu will return to its old greatness.

  4. Ok, things i like...TECH MESH!!!!!!! !!!

I kind of like the black/gray print. I don't think I will get it, but it's interesting. Looks like it hides flaws.

  5. I agree 100% with 10:46. I so WANT to get excited about a LLL upload. I did try the new print LLLRestless 1/2 zip and found it too baggy in the waist and snug in the arms in a way my old Restless LS are not.

OT: since I am a shortie, I was able to buy a few cute items from Ivivva's Moon Gem collection. IMO, it's cute and colorful (in a kind of muted way) and not specifically young-looking. If you are size 6 or below in LLL, I recommend you give it a try. That being said, if you are quite tall and slim the proportions may be wrong.

  6. Also, it's like their photography is getting worse and worse. The photos for the Hybrid headband tell me absolutely nothing about the product. Four photos that are taken from far away, and the headband is totally covered by the model's hair, and one photo so close up that you can see the fabric, but not the actual shape or style of the headband.

    1. Product descriptions, too. The old site was so superior. I am happy to have the "find in store" feature, but everything else is worse. Not sure why they can't just take the verbiage from the hang tags and put that online; it's usually much more helpful than the online product info.

    2. I agree Anon 12:37pm that product description was so much better on the old website. They could do such so much better describing the product like inseam length which is lacking on a lot of bottoms. Overall I just find when buying clothing online especially when it's this expensive, I want as much info as I can get on it before making a decision.

    2. Yeah speaking of trashy

    3. I'm in two minds about them. I could never pull them off myself, but I've seen them styled with a really edgy-cool kind of punk-rock aesthetic. I've also seen them styled super skankily.

  8. I don't like mesh, so yet another pair of bottoms that aren't for me. Also, agree with others about the boxy, shapeless tops, I don't like them either, they aren't at all flattering.

  9. Nada, once again.

We're in the month of Christmas when I usually am lusting over so many things and trying to find ways to buy them for myself and still get my Christmas shopping done. But this year is so different, my Christmas shopping will be done no problem. And there's only a couple of things I have my eye on but I'm not lusting over them, just watching to see if they make it to WMTM and if not, no big deal. My how the lulu tides have changed!

  10. WTH, I just cant anymore with this company. I believe those mesh tights where released years ago and the boxy ugly jackets are just that, boxy and ugly. I used to spend $100s every month, I havent spent more than $200 in the past 6 months and a $100 of that was at the outlet. Great job running this beloved company right into the ground.

  11. The Fleece Be True with zips, have we not seen this style already but that seems to be the theme this year, everything looks the same, just different fabric. Instructions to designers a year ago must have sounded like this: I want all of you to sit down at your design desks and come up with the most boring, boxy, cheapest to produce products you can and by the way, I don't want anything to look like Lululemon.

It is just so sad that this is what we get from a company that used to knock our socks off with so many awesome designs.

  12. Are the blocked wunder unders already sold out?!

  13. Did anyone else notice that they brought back the ombre swiftly techs that were released as part of the Olympic Collection this past summer?

    1. Oh yes, I noticed. I shelled out a pretty penny on eBay last summer to get the short sleeved one, justifying that it was special edition (not everyone in the U.S. would have it) and the fact that I always reach for my black swiftly bc it is soooo nice. Well, now the same swiftly is available in the U.S. AND it is no where near as nice as my solid black one; it is kinda scratchy.....darn FOMO syndrome got me.

  14. I have finally accepted the fact that the Lululemon I was so in love with is gone and I have Mr. Potdevin to thank for that. Although we can thank Mr. Holman for 2016 designs, they had to be approved by Mr. No. 1 in the Company. I get why Chip Wilson was so at odds with them and called them out on the direction they were going. He must have felt sick to his stomach when he saw what would be coming our way. I have gotten to where I rarely buy new product and I now refuse to support this Company I once loved by buying product for my daughter, friends and my niece at Ivivva. I just cannot support this company that is being run by someone who never should have been put in charge, given he doesn't have a clue what made Lululemon so appealing to so many. For those of you who frequent this blog and like the design direction taken by this new management team, I am not knocking you, I am happy for you. I just know that what I loved about Lululemon is gone and from what I have seen take place in 2016 I am resigned to 2017 being no different.

    1. THIS a thousand times!!!

    2. Yep, I've been feeling the same way. I've finally accepted it and have even got to the point now where I feel like I'm just wasting my time and adding unnecessary negativity to my thoughts checking the blogs (sorry, honestly no offence at all to lulumum or commenters here, have always loved this blog and all the comments here). I just think I'm finally over the Lululemon obsession, and in a way it's kind of sad, but in other even more important and better ways it isn't sad at all and it's actually a good thing.

  15. If they don't bring out those tech mesh leggings in high times I will be soooo angry. They've obviously rerun that design because it's a guarantee seller with ones being sold on ebay for up to $300-400. But in a wunder under it is too long and bunches at the ankles and I'm assuming it can't be hemmed with mesh!! So they've taken a guaranteed top seller that I would've bought in a second and ruined it.
