Fit Review: New Define Jacket, Conduit Tight, Conduit Crop, Conduit Singlet, Boom Bloom Chartreuse, Olive Love Tee Short Sleeve Crew and More

I went in thinking for sure I'd buy the new Conduit Crops because I love silverscent luxtreme (thick and compressive) but I walked out with something different that I saw at the last second.

This new Define Jacket color is gorgeous!! It's the same blue that is in the new Boom Bloom print that is blue based (we saw a sneak peek last week). I asked the eds and because this color isn't currently stocked online they couldn't find out the name of the color 'JESE'. To me it looks a lot like Tofino Teal (but bluer) and very similar to Limitless Blue. This was the winner for me and I brought it home. I'll do a color comparison in a little while once I've gathered all my similar blues.

Color comparison:

'JESE'
New Define Jacket, Conduit Tight, Conduit Crop, Conduit Singlet, Boom Bloom Chartreuse, Olive Love Tee Short Sleeve Crew and More

I hated this Olive color in the Love Tee LS and Crew. It really washed me out a lot. Strangely, the Olive Swifty is much more saturated and flattering on me.

While this print is definitely not my style or preference, I was surprised that it was pretty flattering on. The movement of the black portions of the print up the leg really ground the print. Still, this is not for me.

These had so much potential. I love the silverscent lines within the luxtreme which are a coppery gold color. I liked the inset stripes on the side of the legs. Sadly, the thick stitching detail holding the mesh together with the luxtreme was tight and it created weird bulging. I also hated how far up the leg the mesh went. I prefer this mesh to the transparent mesh they've been using, but still, this is not a flattering material on a toned but lumpy posterior leg. I also found this luxtreme surprisingly thin. Every other silverscent luxtreme I've tried or purchased has been soft, thick and compressive while this felt really thin.

Look at the bulging happening here! That band holding the mesh inset to the luxtreme is much tighter and less stretchy than the pant itself.

Blerg on all that mesh.

Conduit Crop TTS 10
These where ok except for again, the abundance of rear mesh detailing. Had it not been for that I would have ignored the thinner luxtreme and probably checked out with these.

Conduit Crop, Conduit Singlet TTS 10
I didn't care for the Conduit Singlet shape on me but the material is nice. It's the same silverscent mesh used in the back of the tights (and has been used a few years ago in tanks) but I just didn't love the opening at the back and how the tank tents around over my bust. I should have tried the black one on because I also really didn't care for this color in the tank and I may have liked it more in a more neutral color.

The split stays open. If it had more of an A-line cut it may have layed mostly closed with only the occasional opening.

  1. The Define flattering and a great color. Good choice!!

  2. Another blue Define? It looks like a great color on you so I'm glad you nabbed it, but this is the third blue to come out in the past few months (after deep indigo and emperor blue). I like to wear my Defines for casual wear too so often pair them with jeans, and blues are tricky to match with jeans depending on the shade. I'm still holding out hope for a nice dark, saturated green Define.

    1. Sapphire Blue, Harbor Blue, Indigo Blue, Emperor Blue, and now this new blue... It kind of seems similar to Harbor Blue from summer in the top photos, not sure in person though...

    2. oh, and almost forgot, the Triometric Stripe Lakeside Blue one from spring! This may be more close to Lakeside Blue.

    3. It looks super similar to beach blanket blue, but hard to tell from a pic

  3. Thanks for the review! The blue define is gorgeous on you. I wish they'd bring back the Forme jacket - it was a little longer for me, i find the define a bit short.

    1. I'm with you. I much prefer the Forme. I know I'm in the minority, so I'm fine with them mostly producing Defines, but I sure wish they'd bring the Forme back once every year or two.

    2. I'm with you ladies! I'm liking Formes so much better than Defines. I think Defines are dated. Hope they'll bring Forme back

  4. A dude definitely designed the Conduit tights. No woman would have all that gratuitous seaming and paneling that breaks up visual lines and creates bulges like that.

  5. What is it with Lulu hiding male parts in their prints?! Maybe I just have a dirty mind :-P

    2. Don't look at it long enough to find shapes. You'll burn your retinas.

  6. I love that you reviewed the conduit tights. Our body styles are very similar so I would have the same results. Going to hold out for the new WU prints. <3 THANK YOU!

  7. Thanks for the great review! I too like the subtle striping on the conduit but the bulging makes it a no go for me. I love military fatigue, olive colors but thinking that color has too much yellow in it for me.

  8. Why am I NOT surprised that the silverscent luxtreme in the Conduit tights/crops is thinner than other previous releases?

  9. That define is a gorgeous colour! I bought lakeside blue a few months back and can't justify another blue. Wish I held off because this one is much nicer! If the defines were back to their old price I wouldn't have hesitated to buy both. The price increases have severely halted my spending.

    1. You are fantastic!! Thank you! There where three Eds at my store trying to help me figure out the color but because it wasn't online anywhere in men's or women's we couldn't find it.

  11. did the conduit tights look sheer at all (bendover test?)? I really really love these and I think they would work for me but don't want to deal with the hassle of returning if they're going to be sheer when I bend over, I can't stand that!

    1. They weren't sheer for me. I agree with LLM the seaming was odd and for me it made me feel short.

  14. That jacket is the only nice item and it looks great on you. Lulu continues to fail. So sad.

    1. the only nice item is the classic define. Hmm, go figure. A LLL staple better than all this new cr@%*p. Will LLL ever listen to what people want?

  15. Those Conduit tights are so disappointing! I didn't know how much mesh they had. Boo! I agree with 12:14 PM. I like the singlet but it's really too pricey for what it is! It reminds me of the All Tied Up Tank mixed with a Salute the Sun Singlet or something.

  16. Thanks so much for your try on and review! I don't have time to get to a store when items are new in store so I end up missing out if I wanted something. And you save me the hassle of returning items and shows us the better items of the upload (except that ugly Boom Bloom print). :)

  17. FYI the singlet is swiftly fabric....I did not like it....not to mention how fragile it would be

  18. Those conduit tights are ridiculous. Why doesn't Potdevin just start making the tights with ALL mesh on the backside? Clearly that is his thing. Grrrrrr. ( and yes hear extreme sarcasm here)

  19. Thanks for the fit review LLM, the Jet Set Blue Define looks great on you and it's such a beautiful blue. Everything else is a big no.

  20. Thank you for all your reviews! Limitless blue is one of my favorite blues! I had to order the define. If the regular CRB was still around I would hope for a CRB in Jet Set Blue but since I despise the fit of the CRBII on me, I will have to find other tops that hopefully come in this gorgeous shade of blue!

  21. LLM, did you try sizing up in the conduit tights? Or was the luxtreme part already too loose. I wonder if maybe the sizing is off? Or maybe these are just flat out disasters. Too bad, since I thought the conduit crops looked pretty nice.

    1. I took my normal size. There is no drawstring so a size up would be loose in waist I think

    2. Thanks for that info. No draw string and no back pocket make $108 way too much money for a pair of crops that would't be functional for me on anything but the shortest of runs.

  22. LLM - did you get an inseam for the conduit crops? I'm only 5'2", so I don't buy without knowing the inseam, and lulu doesn't post it anymore! Thanks!
