My store got the new Shibori print wunder under pants in today in the three colors, purple, blue and white/black as well as the coordinating Energy Bras. I actually didn't think I'd like these on me at all despite really appreciating the graphic print but when I tried them on I really loved them. They are thick opaque luxtreme and very smooth, and the true test of opacity is trying on a white pair of luxtreme pants. These where completely opaque on me even on the white portions of the print, in a deep squat. The luxtreme is so tightly woven that it also provides nice lift and smoothing. The safe, less flashy colors of blue and purple are nice too but the black/white shibori is super saturated and really stunning.
The only complaint about these is that I was warned twice to wash these as I would wash denim. The print is dipped in actual dye so it's not like pre dyed threads, or printed fabric, it's actually treated post garment construction so the dye may not be colourfast. I was told 'wash like denim, inside out and as infrequently as possible'. Thats really not practical for a pant made for fitness use, but if your plans are to wear these casually I suppose you could wash these infrequently. My first wash I will probably put some vinegar in the wash to make it more colorfast, but the concern with using vinegar on lycra is that it can break down the fibres over time.
OT but is that a Neverfull with a teal interior? How do I get one of those? All I've seen are red and pink interiors. TIA!
ReplyDeletelol, it was a special edition one from last year. Here is is on a resale site: http://www.fashionphile.com/louis-vuitton-monogram-v-neverfull-mm-turquoise-94632
DeleteYou look great in those! I feel like the latest batch of fullux has been exceptional. Thick and opaque like you mentioned. I recently purchased the olive lace wunder unders and pink/teal/black floral print inspire tights, both fullux, both exceeded my expectations. The Shibori are tempting me now.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I got those pencil lace military green WUP's too and I agree they are exceptional. And those floral tights are superb too! I didn't buy them but loved the quality of the material and how opaque it was.
DeleteThis print reminds me of the inkblot indigo print

ReplyDeleteim sorry but why on earth would lulu release pants "designed for yoga or gym" that must be "washed like denim"... makes no sense, unless you like to smell like day old gym socks...
ReplyDeleteI wish they would have a define jacket or scuba hoodie in that print. Super cute.

ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love a Define or a CRB in this print.
DeleteDefine yes please!

ReplyDeleteFrom UK upload it looks like we might be getting some Runderful 1/2 Zips. I missed out in the past (ok, "cheaped out" is more like it), but there's one in gray and white that is calling my name. http://www.lululemon.co.uk/p/womens-longsleeves/Runderful-1-2-Zip/_/prod5970024?rcnt=30&N=1z13ziiZ7sd&cnt=32&color=LW3MCPS_024365
ReplyDeleteHoping for a good upload tonight.
I hope they have a half zip and some more scubas!!! I did snag a half zip from WMTM today.
DeleteLooks good, but I wish there was a version with black background instead of white one.
ReplyDeleteSo, why can't Lululemon make white full-on luxtreme pants that are either all white or have thin stripes, like quiet stripe? Granted, it's clear they don't want to go back to what worked in the past, but I really wish they would get over it and re-issue those awesome but simple prints...
ReplyDeleteNooooo! Were they all luxtreme? I love the print but I hate luxtreme. I don't care for the polyester-y feel and it makes my tanks ride up in yoga class.
ReplyDeleteYes! Me too! I don't like luxtreme/luxtreme type fabrics either - too slippery and too shiny! ...and I hate my tops riding up during yoga too... argh! I have a pair of Breezy Regal Plum/Black print Wunder Under Crops and they are nice thick Luon and are opaque and don't fade out(maybe because they are not backed in white?) when stretched over my chunkyish(lol! I have big thighs and bum for my size) thighs and bum. I don't have many printed bottoms (most of the print ones I have are actually textured Luon and not actual print and the rest are just regular solid colours Luon) but LOVE my Breezy Regal Plum Black print ones and wish they would do more in Luon like these ones.
DeleteThis Luxtreme does not feel polyestery and it's not shiny. It has amazing matte finish and so soft . I fell in love with it since the first pair of them came out a few months ago , it was print black/white/dusty rose or something. I didn't care for the print, but was hoping that there'll be more pants on this amazing new fabric. You should give them a try . They feel like Inspires from 7-8 years ago.
DeleteI tried these on today, but I'm on the fence. They look really cute on you! I had no idea that the fabric is high maintenance, though. I bought the lace print WUP today.

Wow those are so cool on you! I feel like they're a great addition to your wardrobe- both neural and interesting, which can be hard to come by!
ReplyDeleteI kind of love ❤️ them. Thanks for your great review.
ReplyDeleteOMG Lulumum you're amazing!
ReplyDeleteI was anxious for this I even got an angel here from AU to get them for me so hopeless I was!
I ran to the store and got mine, they are amazing white and black soooooo pretty :)
I agree with Janine. I kind of loved them when we have seen previews but wanted to see them on first. Can't get in tonight so called my store after looking at this blog post and had them put my size away for tomorrow night. These look really good on you LLM. My only initial hesitation at first preview was the boldness of the print but they clearly work on rather than being obnoxious.
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome on you :) I heart luxtreme, nice to hear that they are good quality luxtreme. Will be interesting to hear how they wash/wear!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a 2 in Align. Should I size upto a 4 in Wunder Under Pant *Shibori?
