I love my Rest Less Pullovers and this year the pattern looks really nice and flattering, but the $98 price tag is just too much for this top. Will wait and hopefully it will go to WMTM, I doubt it will be a great deal even then, but at least hopefully it will be for a more reasonable price. If I miss out no big deal, I have a few from previous years already. Too bad everything is so crazily overpriced now though... I'm just not willing to go along with the way I used to buy and now think twice... or maybe this is a good thing!?
I was in store today and didn't like any of the fabrics. Shiny, spongy, thin and cheep feeling. The ready to rulu pant in olive was just awful. Felt spongy. I could see the lines from the pockets and the rise went up over by belly button. It was so unattractive I didn't even bother to try a size up. I thought the restless pullover felt thicker than last year and the olive color is nice but I have one and really don't need another at $98. That's a $78 shirt at best. is it my imagination or does the racer back portion of the Pima crb Il appear thicker than the thong on the luon one?
It's definitely wider -- much more like the original CRB (where the logo is on the vertical racerback post, rather than under it). However, the top rear neckline looks same as the CRB II. If they changed all the CRB IIs to have the wider racerback post/stem (or whatever it's called), I might finally consider purchasing the new version.
I got optimistic as well when I saw website photos. But I saw that crb 2 at the store today and unfortunately the back is just as skinny as all the other crb2's. Bummer. On the other hand the grei pima crb 2 felt very soft and lovely.
And to think I was antsy about Athleta charging $128 for their powerlift jacket :') and $89 for their stowe hoodie. Considering my 30% off there I no longer feel bad at all after seeing this nonsense hahahaha
This is certainly an issue which is frustrating and unfair, whether or not it was a strategically planned part in their price hikes. Either way, I think it shows a lack of customer appreciation. When paying these kinds of prices I can't imagine too many people wanting to take a chance on ordering something from WMTM, especially if they aren't familiar with an item.
I thought about this too!! Especially lately they have released items at higher prices and they you would see that item on WMTM only a couple weeks later (at a slightly lower price but with no return policy attached).
OT I need a pair of 4 shibori high rise winder under in white and black

ReplyDeleteI tried it on and didn't like the fabric, not as nice as my other one bought a couple of years ago. I don't know if I will even buy one on markdown...

DeleteI like the look of this jacket but for a lightweight jacket , 248??? This to me is more of a 178, 198 tops! If it was 198 I would have ordered!

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else think LLL is upping the price also because they can lessen the mark downs and not allow returns? :|

DeleteBy looking at the unzipped first mile jacket from the back, it reminds me of a butt protector to wear when i snowboard. Is just me???
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a jacket Michael Jackson used to wear. I think it was for the Man in the Mirror video.
