My Seawheeze 2016 Haul

Too tired to write a post about Seawheeze showcase store just yet but thought I'd show you my haul. I got two of the Gather Me Slightly Jackets. And now, after spending the night in the lineup I am going to pass out on my soft, soft bed.

  1. Thanks for sharing! I really like the colors on the blue jacket. Looks almost fish or mermaid like. The black and white one looks like an abstract take on Google Maps haha.

  3. Love those jackets!! So sad I missed out on them in spring, big regret!!
Are there any ways to buy these products online or through any of the stores??

    1. no it's only at the SW showcase, not in store or online. but check out the FB groups or EBay.

  4. Can someone explain to me why the BST groups seem to tolerate blatant reselling? Like...maybe wait a few days to attempt to profit off of things you literally just purchased today? I feel like the listings are always accompanied by cutesy BS excuses, too.

    1. I don't know what the BST groups are but it sounds like Ebay. I've always just purchased directly from Lulu from either their store or online and stay away from stuff like this. Even if stuff is being sold with good intentions (which normally would mean it's been worn, with a few exceptions here and there), I don't really like the thought of wearing clothes someone else has been sweating in (I know, I know, it's washed, but it still kind of gives me the creeps).

    2. A lot sell on eBay as its past the 2 week return mark or its wmtm. eBay/pp get 20% of the sellers fee.

    3. There is already stuff on eBay really pricey!

    4. I'm talking about people that are already selling Seawheeze stuff on some of the FB groups etc. I probably saw 40 items before 10 am today.

    5. you are right anon 1:55PM, ebay is jam packed with so many seawheeze 2016 items! lots of sellers are from US. and the prices are crazy....

    6. BST = Buy Sell Trade

these FB groups tolerate it because that's what they are for: selling lululemon. if people are willing to pay the price, things will sell. a lot of people are not able to attend SW and this (and EBay) is the only way for them to get their hands on these limited edition products. the demand is there so it sells. if you are upset that some people are possibly making a few hundred dollars off reselling SW lulu, then you can buy yourself a registration + a plane ticket + a hotel + camp all night at next year's SW. for all that trouble, good for them that they can get some money back and share the SW lulu love! i personally have never been to SW and i have never bought any SW products. but i like having the option to, through the BST groups rather than the crazier EBay prices, if ever i spot a product that i NEED to have!

    7. Sorry for being a bit dense, but LLM, can you recommend any of the reputable "BST" groups? And does one have to be specifically invited to join them?? Thanks.

    8. this is Anon 3:04 again

to answer your question more specifically, SW products are popular right NOW. if the groups delayed everything by a few days, yes maybe some people would not make as high offers, but the whole thing would just be delayed. i dunno, it doesn't bother me.

as for BS excuses on selling posts, i CAN'T stand those. i don't need to know why you're selling, just post it. i will often skip posts with major BS excuse, it pisses me off lol

  6. Would love a size 10 in the green/blue gather me slightly. Any tips as to where to try and find one (I am not familiar with the various reseller groups, only ebay). Thanks!

    1. yes through EBay or through the selling groups on FB. search for groups with lululemon in their name ;)

  9. Any Tuck & Flow tops this year? Thanks for your quick postings!

  10. Thanks for taking the time to post your purchases before hitting the sack. Oh what a cute dog, will he be running Seawheeze with you? I really like the Gather Me Slightly jacket but didn't buy one because I didn't like the colour choices but I would have bought one of these. I will be curious to find out what you paid for these, if they are more expensive than when they were out this past Spring. Enjoy your weekend and look forward to hearing all about it.

    1. Not sure if you were serious, but most dogs can't run 21km in the heat! :)

    2. I guess I should have put LOL after that remark, it was definitely said in jest.

  11. I kind of feel like the Seawheeze items should only be for those who participate in it... not that I care what everyone else wants to do or anything... but I'd feel weird wearing something from a race that I never even participated in...

    1. I was just about to write the same thing! The SW badging is subtle but still, at the end of the day it's awkward to wear the gear of a race I didn't run.

That being said-- LLM, good luck with your half marathon and enjoy the rest of your race weekend!

    2. I would feel weird buying something that actually said "Seawheeze" on it (like some crbs from previous years) if I did not participate in the race.
I see the rest of the clothing along the same lines as the Wanderlust (which I have attended) collection, sort of like a "special edition" type of collection that is not necessarily "accessible" to everyone.

  12. Why can't I find the Totes Light jacket on lululemon site? Link not valid and cannot find as a search. Any ideas?

  13. When is registration for next year? I don't think I have seen it anywhere?

  14. I didn't know you camped out too, so sad I missed you. I would have loved to say hello. I didn't get the Gather Me jackets because I have the flare one. I did pick up two styles of the Race with Grace shirts though. I do admit to wanting to take home the duffel and bag in the rare print to sell, they were gone in a flash and I had them in my hand. Kind of kicking myself for handing them off now that I see what they are going for. :p

  15. I have to admit that I once paid a lot of money for the mermaid crb off a FB group. So, I understand it. I had to have it and it's still one of my favorite tanks. The only way I could have gotten it is to buy from someone trying to recoup their trip costs. (I even later bought the matching mermaid volunteer tee.) And as much as it is a bummer to see the high prices on Seawheeze stuff, it's just dependent on how much you really want it. If you wait a few months, interest will die down and prices will drop a bit on some items. Or you can always hope they offer a few things on the Australian website and have someone angel for you.

  16. Well I bought the speed shorts like your colourful jacket for $126 with shipping and fees. That is a lot but I figured it is cheaper than going there and waiting hours in line.....so she made $40 on them...the rest was shipping and fees. I'm so excited to get them...

  17. I bought the Bali Breeze thumbprint speeds for 128$ with shipping.
Eh. The person I bought them off probably made 50$. I would definitely be willing to pay someone 50$ to fly to Vancouver and stand in line overnight in order to pick me up a new "special" pair of speeds for my collection.
I agree with a previous poster, it really depends on how much you want it.
I can't wait to see the recaps of all the merchandise as well as the race itself :)

    1. To clarify, that was 128 Canadian dollars!

  18. I'd love to go to Vancouver some day but I think it's sad to see so many SeaWheeze stuff on eBay on Friday. Tons of it marked up sky high. And if people want to justify it it as 'paying for their trip' let it be! None of its that cute that I'm willing to pay those prices. I looked at the black and white jacket and it's cute too. I see the prices on past sea wheeze stuff has dropped with the new stuff out.

  19. How early do you have to get in line if you are running the race? And if you choose to enter with the general public, do you wait in the same line? And will there be a good selection of items left?
