A Lifting PR in Olympic Lifting!

Please forgive me this humblebrag post but I've had a bit of a momentous PR in my olympic lifting class and I'm so proud of myself and wanted to share.  Besides Crossfit, I've also been doing Olympic lifting classes twice a week since last October with a Canadian national team olympic lifting coach. I've done this weight before in a clean (130lbs) in crossfit a few years ago but I didn't have the correct form or technique back then and I also didn't do the jerk portion of the lift (overhead) at this weight. I was likely muscling it and very unstable, and it probably wasn't a 'full' clean. Catching the weight     so low was my sticking point and very intimidating.  We've been doing tons and tons of drills and meticulous skill work and technique correction so I'm so happy I got it and got it with vastly improved technique.
I really enjoy crossfit but I LOVE Olympic lifting. It's just so precise and technical that it amazes me that breaking down just two types of lifts and doing repetitive drills never gets boring since there is something to learn each week and there is always progress or frustration. I hope to have a good Snatch PR video to share with you sometime in the next 30 days.
