New! For The Helluvit Jacket

Thanks to reader Ms. E for sharing her store find. A new jacket out in Canadian stores called The Helluvit Jacket. The outer jacket is a water proof glyde rain jacket, the inner portion of the jacket is a detachable down jacket that is also reversible and it is water resistant. It's a little strange that Lululemon is releasing this jacket for Spring 2016 vs. Winter 2015. It would have sold through way more had it been available for winter. For such a high price point season peace you'd likely want to use it for a full season before packing it away.

  1. I don't think I would even try it on at this point. Two reasons: too late in the season, and the price!! Holy crap! I get that it's two, two! Two jackets in one! (Wasn't that Dentyne?), and it looks like the inner one is reversible, however for $300 I'd better be able to wear it for the whole season. What if I put it away and forget about it next year, since I didn't get to wear it much this year so it's not in my mind? There's nothing on it that screams "I'm a special coat!", no gold threading, no super special features. I believe it is an easy pass, and that the WMTM price would still be too high.

  2. It's amazing. I tried it today. I'm in love but I just a can't justify it right now. It's like the RAR and the other one w the zipper on the back had a baby. Not as long as the RAR but shaped well (not boxy) and just a bit more room than the RAR. With the inner zipped in it can easily be a winter weight jacket. It would be amazing for East Coasters who have wet and cool winters. Now to find $300....

  3. And the blue is not inkwell!! It's darker than pigment but has a beautiful sheen to it.

  4. I really hope it makes it to the U.S.! I might have to get it and hope I don't forget about it by next winter!

  5. I would really like to see more pictures of this jacket, especially the back. If I am going to pay that price I would have to love everything about it and I don't know if I am loving the print in the first pic which I believe is the inner layer? I need more info!!!

  6. We are getting the jacket in select stores in us on monday. Try rush street, 900, meatpacking, etc

  7. I'm not paying Lululemon $300 for anything, especially when better looking, 800+ fill is available elsewhere for less.

    1. I agree with this. I feel the same with a lot of lulu street wear which I can buy nicer items and designs for that cost.

  8. I know I sound like a broken jacket but why oh why not a waterproof running jacket?

  9. It is too late for this jacket even by Vancouver standards. It does not seem special in the way LLL used to be and the $300 price tag is a very easy pass. I will also pass on the jacket on markdown where it is destined to go - and sooner rather than later I predict

  10. These prices are horrendous. I just bought the cozy up buttercup in store and it's going back. Once I got it home and really looked closely at the fit and shape it's not worth $200. Unflattering and you have to fuss around a lot with the top and hood to get it to lay right. Disappointed to say the least.

  11. I don't recommend trying it on unless you're prepared to buy it! It's a beautiful coat and I love the versatility of it. The floral print inside the black jacket is gorgeous. I live in Calgary and regardless of the warm temperatures we are currently getting, I know there will be another cold snap. The coat without the liner is light enough to wear all through Spring and again in fall. The price was definitely more than I was comfortable with, but I couldn't resist. It will definitely be my "go to" jacket.

  13. I am happy about those types of blogs and posts and also keep up them. In that kind of blogs or post, our style and progress substitution is receiving higher up too much. In the post, the black jacket is terrific. Thank you for sharing us such a learned thing. Captain America Jacket
