Fit Review: Fleece Out Jacket, Pace Tight *SE Weave

Coquitlam Centre finally has their new store open! The new store is so gorgeous and I absolutely love the muted pale green color palette mixed with steal grey tones. I also loved learning that inspiration was taken from the Port Man Bridge design.

The Fleece Out Jacket was really nice, especially in this  Berry Rumble Color. It also came in black. It was a form fitting TTS, although I did have a thick sweater on underneath so I think it would have fit better with a tank or tee underneath it instead of something bunchy. The material was a soft spongy  tech fleece on the outside (sort of like the nike dry fit sweatshirts) but fuzzy tech fleece on the inside just like the Toasty Tech II Tights. I liked the quilting on it a lot. My only negative with it is that the front pocket sort of puckered out a bit on me but if the price had been right ($168ish) and the color had been something I loved, it would not have been a deal breaker. The deal breaker for me was the price. I know Nike has a hoodie that is priced in the $250 range (I've tried it and really liked it) so it's not out of line for Lululemon to go with this sort of pricing,  but I can't get behind that price point for a hoodie. I'd rather pay that for an outer layer piece.

You can see the pocket pouching out here.

I really liked the Pace Tight *SE Weave a lot but these are not meant for people with short calves and long thighs like I have. The weave design at the bottom was just huge on my lower calf and it bunched up really funny where it would have highlighted long calves really beautifully. From the front I really loved these and absolutely loved the Berry Rumble piping on them but I don't think I could make that lower leg detail work for me. They were opaque and the black luon on this was nicely matte which I find slimming.

Not the desired look on my lower calf.

You can see how bunchy the weave was on me. I don't have small calves, they are just short.

  1. Thank you for the review! The price on the Fleece out jacket is $$$$! And the weaving on those pants are not flattering, short or longer looking calves. they should have made the weaving a little bit more sublte?! The Bumble Rumble color is pretty though. Do you think the Hustle jacket will be back this year?

  2. So bummed. Don't know why I had hoped to see a smaller price tag on that fleece, I should've known better. I would've gotten that in multiple colors but I have no doubt people will buy it for that price. I do see other brands creeping up in price too.

  3. Ugh the price on the fleece is so disappointing, and so is that weave...I had such high hopes!

  4. How tall are you Lulumum? Curious as to whether the weave would be bunch on me. I'm about 5"7'/5"8'ish.

  5. I agree with the previous posters re: the Fleece jacket. I was hoping for a $148 price point. Boo. I didn't see it on the upload either. Well more $ saved this week.
