Down For A Run Jacket, Down For A Run Pullover, Down For A Run Vest

I just realized how much I love that the DFAR Jacket and Vest do not have cuffins. It makes it SO SO much easier to layer overtop of a long sleeve. The cuffins on my Hustle Jacket are a big reason why I hardly ever wear it. They are great on under layers but not so convenient on jackets.

  1. I agree that for this type of jacket, cuffins would be a hindrance. More likely to wear real gloves with this jacket where I live (Ontario) even if worn casually. I cannot get past that odd slit/flap at the back of the DFAR pullover. I would only buy this item if it was significantly reduced on wmtm

  2. I bought the black DFAR jacket today at my local Lulu..I love it too..I ended up going with my up size because even though my TTS fit when I extended my arms it felt too snug in the shoulder area and I was wearing a go the distance 1/2 zip , so with a thicker piece underneath I wanted a little wiggle room :)

  3. I love the cuffins on my two fave lulu jackets because they are so much easier than gloves for times when it's cold but not super cold. You can't lose or forget them, plus your fingers are free. Neither of those jackets is down, however, and I imagine if I were cold enough to need down I'd probably be cold enough to want full gloves too. So I get what you're saying, but I hope Lulu continues to make cuffins!

  5. Help! In the last month or two my coworker bought a jacket and doesn't know what it's called. It's solid black, no zipper, zips to the right when on, and looks like a blazer when unzipped. Any idea what it's called?!

    1. Hey, this doesn't make sense: "no zipper, zips to the right". First guess would be the Coast Wrap. 2nd: Bhakti jacket - which is now gone but you can google for an image.
I'm sure there are others out there who would have a better idea but at least you can look at those and eliminate?!? Sorry!

    2. Sorry that was supposed to say no hood, zips to the right. But thanks for the ideas, I'll check them out!

    3. Maybe the Bhakti Yoga Jacket? Can look different when worn with zipper open. And it is the most recent, asymmetrical zipper jacket/sweater lately

    4. Sounds possibly like the Soft Summer Jacket?

  6. Isn't it weird that the Kanto LS top made it to WMTM today? Especially in the Forage Teal colourway, which is pretty new!

  7. My black grape pullover arrived today. I really like it! The back flap actually seems to be laying reasonably flat on me, so hopefully it won't bug me as much as I thought it would. I ordered my TTS 6. I found it a little tough to get on over my head, but that's a pullover for you. I thought maybe it might be too fitted to comfortably wear over a half-zip, but I tried it on over my Kanto white herringbone half-zip which is pretty thick and it felt great!

Because I have no willpower, I did end up ordering the forage teal vest, as well. My first impressions of it are not as great. Although I like the look of it, it feels like there's hardly any down fill in the quilted compartments. I'm not convinced it's going to impart any warmth at all, but I'd be curious to know if anyone else has tried it in cool weather. Unfortunately (or fortunately), it's a bizarre 75 degrees here today, so I can't test out the warmth factor!

  8. One of my FAVORITE jackets is the Hustle jacket. I bought the Hustle jacket last year, too, but the quality wasn't the same. I really hope they come out with some great colors for the Hustle jacket this year. It seems to come out over two years. :)
