Product Drop And Fit Review: Kanto Catch Me LS, Kanto Catch Me 1/2 Zip, Kanto Catch Me Vest, Kanto Katch Me Run Jacket, Herrigbone RULU Jet Crop Slims

Big product drop at Vancouver area stores today! Almost all of the new product is run specific so not anything I immediately needed function wise but plenty of nice pieces to ogle. I would have been sorely tempted if there had been more Sapphire pieces but sadly there was just the one item. I was also able to safely pass on the tempting items because I picked up the Stress Less Hoodie yesterday in Vancouver and really don't want to exchange it for one of these pieces.

Kanto Catch Me LS (Comes in Sapphire/Stripes, Ultra Violet/Stripes, Herrigbone) TTS 10

This Kanto Catch Me LS was a bit tempting for me in the Sapphire Blue and looked really nice on but ultimately the stripes persuaded me I didn't need it. I like plain ol solid Sapphire. Fit wise I found it TTS but it's a shorter fit than I like and slim fitting in the waist area. I think if it had been longer in the torso I would have overlooked my disappointment in the black stripe pattern and I probably would have come home with it but those two things made it not a *need*.

Kanto Catch Me 1/2 Zip, (Heathered Sapphire Blue, Herringbone) TTS 10

The Kanto Catch Me 1/2 Zip was TTS and thicker and warmer than the LS. I didn't love the seam detail under the bust but perhaps if you are bigger chested this may be a flattering feature. I didn't find it flattering in me. This fit longer in the torso than the LS. The Heathered Sapphire was a weird one because it is listed as being RULU but it felt more like Seriously Light Luon but double thickness and a little scratchy. I'm a lover of Sapphire Blue but didn't find this heathered version that appealing both in tactile texture and in look.

Kanto Catch Me Run Jacket (Angel Wing, Black, Ultraviolet) TTS 10

If you are winter running, this jacket is WARM and soft. Definitely a very nice warm running layer. It was a snug fitting TTS but not uncomfortable as it had a lot of stretch. I would have been tempted by this in Solid Sapphire Blue but I really don't have a need for this style of jacket anyways.

Reminds me of last years Rebel Runner Jacket, but this one is tighter fitting and RULU isn't as soft and stretchy.

Kanto Catch Me Vest (Angel Wing, Ultra Violet, Black) Snug Fitting at my TTS 10

I didn't care for the Kanto Catch Me Vest at all. It was snug fitting over my bust and I'm only a B cup so I'm certain if you are larger than me in the bust you will need to size up. I found it hard to zip it up over my bust and that has never happened to me before. It was also creating a weird pleating in the back armpit area. I also didn't love the stark shade difference between the bottom half of the vest and the upper more vibrantly colored Glyde fabric. If it had not been so uncomfortably snug over my bust I may have liked this better.

You can see here how snug it is. It was hard zipping it up.

Kanto Catch Me Vest

You can sort of see the pleating here but it's hard to recreate with my arms up so high. When my arms where down the armpits created a big pleat in the upper back.

Jet Crop Slim RULU Herrigbone - TTS 10

These were sure tempting! Lets start off with the fact that they are RULU and Herringbone and incredibly soft, snugly and warm. They didn't look very good on me though, especially in the back. The back pockets are half sewn in but they still create really obvious bunching and being RULU in a light color it was pretty unforgiving of both my lumps and bumps and the lumps created by the back pockets. The side pockets are black on the inside so they also stuck out and created bunching in the front hip area. I put these on hold to consider for later but I think I'm going to pass on them because who needs really fancy soft lounge pants that you only wear at home. I'm too vain to wear these to school drop off.

  1. Wow what a product drop! I REALLY like that KCM LS in sapphire on you, but I totally understand the hesitation about the stripe. That same sapphire blue stripe print was uploaded in the vent it out crops a couple weeks ago and I contemplated but ultimately didn't go for it. I'd be curious to try that KCM half-zip, but you're right that seaming under the bust seems like it could be problematic for a lot of people. As for the KCM jacket - love it! I try not to buy too many of these water-resistant running jackets because I tend not to reach for them a lot (not waterproof so no good on rainy days, and only useful when it's not too hot and not too cold), but I really like the styling on this one. As for the vest, I don't like the contrasting color here either, but there was an all angel wing vest uploaded to the Australia site that looked nice. Sounds like fit might be another story, though. Thanks for the awesome fit review!

  2. Would u recommend maybe a size up from my usual size in JC slims to avoid some of those pocket bunching issues?

    1. Hmm. Tough call. I sized up in the stiff material slim crops but not the inkwell RULU ones. I may go back tomorrow and try the size up but I think my TTS was roomy, the pockets where just really obvious.

    2. I wonder if the rulu would stretch out. I recall the herringbone base runner pant from last year was the same-- awesome softness but looked so meh on me and the pockets sagged, I couldn't justify keeping them.

  3. Nice review thank you! I'm curious about Herringbone LS , Kanto jacket and vest in Angel wing . I'm not a big fan of that color contrast either.

  4. Thank you, lulumum, I always enjoy your store trip and try on reports/reviews! I'm just wondering if the herringbone pullover and half zip are in the same silver spoon slate herringbone that was used for last fall/winter Think Fast Pullover? I have the Silver Spoon Slate Herringbone Think Fast Pullover from last year, so not sure if this one is different enough... Also, I don't think the seam under the bust area on the half zips works well for larger busts normally, unless the seam is placed a little lower down than on previous half zips... I'm a 32DD/E and the seam normally ends up sitting across my bust, not underneath it where it belongs, so it doesn't normally work out for me. Perhaps this one is lower... fingers crossed...

  5. Hmmm, these items are all great but maybe they would look better if gone up one size? It would be great to know what the fit looks like on the vest, jacket and pants especially as they all look way bigger and less form fitting on the website.

  6. Thanks for the great fit review! Most of this stuff I would have passed on but then seeing it on you makes me think twice.. Darn it! I agree on the jet crop slims - don't need fancy lounge pants. Sizing up I find makes the pockets poof out more. These are disappointing. Now maybe a darker herringbone would be classy yet cozy. Hoping the U.S. finally gets the inkwell rulu ones ….

OT but here is my experience with "charge/ send": Kinda lame. Was excited at first bc my local store helped me find my circadian ss in CA. Ordered 9/4. It is now 9/12 and I still don't have it (yes there was a non-mail holiday in there but come on). Also, learned that the store you order from is obligated to charge you their state sales tax? No sales tax on clothing in my state so this was an extra $5 for something that if I had been patient, I could have had online. My local store offered to help me out once I finally get the item but I'm losing hope that I'll see it :(

    1. Did they send you an email with your tracking number? I ordered the Lumberjack Scuba from a CA store a couple of weeks ago and got an email with tracking within 24 hours and received the item within a week.

  7. I dislike that Kanto longsleeve. It reminds me of a baby onesie with the way the shoulder area is styled.

Not a fan of most of this stuff which is nice for my wallet!

  8. Did Canada get the Namaskar crops in windy blooms by chance?

  9. Lol on the onesie!! Jet crop slims don't look good on my body shape. My money is safe.

  10. A lack of cuffins on a rulu half zip? Lulu, why???

  11. I just drove an hour to my nearest Lulu and thank goodness it wasn't totally in vain. I returned a define jacket so I could get the Kanto Catch Me Run jacket in angel wing. I love it! I think it's such a cool style. Super soft and warm. And I agree it's a snug TTS fit. I'm debating returning another jacket to get the black one too LOL. They didn't have any of the other Kanto CMR long sleeves/vest. The ED told me they literally just put the jackets out and I was the second one to buy one already this morning (and I got there right after they opened up).

  12. The issue had dependably been that most alerts were just repulsive noisemakers that neighbors disregarded. Beyond any doubt you can create associations with your neighbors to help you keep your property safe, however over the long haul the main individual you can rely on upon is yourself. http://www.mordocrosswords.com/2016/02/caught-off-base.html
