Ok, I think my vest is going back asap. This is everything I loved about the bomber jacket last winter but with a much better length. So glad I kept the tags on the vest. This will look so cute with jeans. Hope it's not a crazy price, I suspect it will be close in price to the vest.
The Audrey Jacket is here!
- classic jacket with all the function of a technical softshell
- softshell fabric has 2-way stretch and protects from wind and rain
- soft fleece inside for warmth and comfort
Squee! I'm buying this! I managed to get a black Bomber jacket last year and it's my favorite coat. This one may top it though. Any idea on colors available? (Imagine a lolo....)
ReplyDeleteI noticed that's your local lulu so when you check if out please post the following for us that are further away:
ReplyDelete1. Personal picture
2. Sizing (true to size or not)
3. Colours
4. Length versus your height
5. What the outer fabric feels like
6. Is there a hood at all
Thanks!
Yes I'm going right after lunch much to my husbands annoyance. If I buy the jacket ill post pictures but if not I'll have to play it by ear. I'll find out all of those things for sure. hope it comes in branch or black as well.
ReplyDeleteOMG...I have to have this! I wonder what colours this will be available in?
ReplyDeleteMy poor bank account....I just bought the community jacket (which I did not really need but was so disappointed in the upload, I bought it because I was having lulu withdrawal)
Yes, I agree with anon@12:50...please give us all that info so that we are ready to order! lol
OT: did you try on the fouette tank?
I am confused about size with the reviews I have read. I ordered size down as most suggested but am not happy with fit. I probably should have read reviews more carefully, given the bra sizes that people listed I could have been a 4, 6 or 8....no wonder I am confused!
Not sure if I should size up or if the top is just not for me. thx!
Totally looks like a longer length version of the bomber from last year :). Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have to have this!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I have the bomber in tweed and black. This would be a great in a dark gray :) thanks Lulumum for always being ahead of the game on items. I love reading your blog!!
ReplyDeleteShark grey...nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat type of weight do you suspect this jacket is? Just good enough for fall weather...or would it be warm enough for winter?
ReplyDeleteI believe I saw on Facebook that it's going to cost $228. YIKES!!

This looks very similar to my Bomber and as long as its not extremely cold (say -20 to -30 range) I was fine wearing it outside last winter. I saved the severe Alberta cold for my North Face jacket ;) The only downside is these jackets do not have hoods, and it doesn't look like this one has a hood either. :(
ReplyDeleteCoal, Shark Grey, & Black for the colors. $228?!?! Sheesh... might as well buy a down-filled coat for near that price. I'll have to think hard about it as I might go for the coal or shark grey, but I might also wait to see if it goes on sale later in the season.
ReplyDeleteAh! i literally gasped when i seen this picture! I want it! but the price is insane! Id rather wait for a Nova scotia appropriate winter jacket at that price plus i really want the lolo wwa and a few crew necks this week so ill have to pass. for now lol. Its amazing though! i hated the length of the bomber and this is exactly what i loved about the bomber. so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteFor $228 I will really have to think about it! My ultimate multi-purpose go to North Face Plasma Jacket that is windproof/waterproof, lined with lightweight down with removable hood was $299. I recall a lot of people had issues with the Bomber's snap buttons too. They look like the same buttons. Hope they've addressed the issue as well.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling this will be one of those items that the price is re-adjusted in a few weeks, by the sounds of what people are saying on facebook no one sees that as a resonable price for a fall jacket. I would pay that for a winter jacket no problem
ReplyDeleteI agree about the price and I hope they lower it...but the bomber jacket last year was $198 and this is a bit longer..but it should be the same price as the Everyday Jacket. I think the value of it depends on where you live and how cold it gets. Vancouver is pretty mild and I rarely wear a jacket that's really poofy and thick but I do however need something layerable and that I can dress up a bit with jeans or dress down with luon and it needs to be wind and water proof so I think this is a fall + winter jacket for me. If you can only use it for Fall where you live than I think you should either size up one so you can layer a scuba underneath or wait for something more wintery. what was the issue with the bomber jackets buttons?? did they come undone?
ReplyDeleteAnon 1:01 The Fouette Tank I think people sized down on because of the really loose fit around the tummy. I have heard more people say they were happier with TTS though, especially if you have a larger chest. The tummy is supposed to be flowy and loose though so I would stay TTS.
Rachel: Thanks! ;D I love to share!
I have the everyday yoga jacket and while I love the look of this, here in sk it gets cold fast so a hood is needed and the price is crazy considering its almost the same jacket minus the upper part of the jacket
ReplyDeleteYah the every day is longer and has the hood. Also can be dressed up so the only thing your missing is the buttons and the wrist details. Do you find the Everyday jacket is going to be warm enough in Sk in winter??? on a -50 day? or will you use a different jacket for winter?
ReplyDeleteIf I am a sz 6 in the bomber would the sz 6 in this work?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Oh yes, I think this is the same fit as the bomber. stick with the sz 6.
ReplyDeleteThis jacket looks really cute...!
ReplyDeleteno the everyday yoga jacket will definately not work for Sk winters, how I wish :( although I might be able to get away with it if I layer a scuba or remix under it for milder days...so the search for a winter jacket also begins as mine are a lil too big on me now :)
ReplyDeleteAnon 8:24 I bet you we'll see a puffy down jacket soon in some pretty colors for the colder climates.
ReplyDeletethe bomber jacket's buttons seemed to 'fall off'.. They're usually 'pressure' mounted: the male + female parts of the snap are mated together with the fabric in between.
ReplyDeleteI never had any trouble with my snaps, but I usually use my fingernail to pry/pop open the snaps - I NEVER pull on the fabric to pull the snaps apart as I'm leery of stretching out areas of the fabric.. I've been snapping and unsnapping so many snaps on my kids clothes (and cloth diapers) and just found that in those scenarios, tugging on the fabric was not very efficient, nor kind (to the garment and my kiddies). So I use my super strong nails to pry/pop all snaps open =).
I'm afraid to try this jacket on. I love my tweed Bomber and this looks so similar in fit. But I don't need another 'softshell' fabric coat.. I have sooooo many lululemon softshell coats already..
but if this comes out in a tweed fabric... oooh!!
