yes, this past summer for $150 = gradient Nike tight or something --- but much nicer, they didn't have the big dots on them. I've been looking all over for them but I think they are long gone! So I ordered these to try!
Yup the Nike version came in two different color swatches. The dots were smaller and the colors weren't as contrast-y. I saw a girl wearing the pink version of them and they were really cute on.
Sorry but these pants are ugly and not flattering at all. Even a perfect figure will look odd in them. And don't get me started on the weird red color placement near the crotch. Are they trying to make everyone do a double take when they see us at the gym??? It's just one more failure, that whole color pattern where it looked like MOLD and the camo that morphed into something really ugly. Lulu just needs to stick with solids and herringbones, I guess that is all they can handle well.
The tights have some appeal as long as you get a good pattern placement (one that is not embarrassing). Having said that, they need to be strategic in that regard - it can be done (other brands do it) with the colour and pattern placement guaranteed. Then MAYBE they would be worth the high price (Nike's similar full price is not cheap either). I might try them on in store just to see and wait for markdown ;) But I could care less if I get them. And I know I am suggesting/asking a lot with strategic pattern placement. LLL doesn't give a $hit and looks for the cheapest way to manufacture everything these days.
Err yes my LLL has definitely waned in the last 2 years.
I recall Nike doing a pant like this a while back... Wallet will be safe for a while

Delete@ anon 2:22pm Let us know how they fit and look once they're on! I think they're too loud for my taste :P
DeleteI might think about those pants on WMTM but I feel like I'm too old for them.
ReplyDeleteAnon. 2:22 - Nike.com has the violet ones on sale for half price in all sizes except small!

I actually really love the pattern but would prefer it in a running crop.
ReplyDeleteAnyone try the Chilly Bomber yet?
