Hot topic about the Lulu logo placement and visibility on Facebook today. There is an unconfirmed rumour that Lulu is changing the placement of the logo on Grooves from the lower leg to the upper waist area. What is your preference? showing off your lulu logo so people know or keeping things subtle and hidden? Personally, although I don't mind logos in small doses, sometimes I just want to wear something comfortable and nondescript, but if I'm wearing a remix hoodie I like my logo.
I like having the logo on the leg. I have some reverse groove crops & pants with the logo on the leg but when you turn them to the all black side the logo is now on your waist. I don't like that. If they change it I have no choice but I prefer the leg. I like when I'm in the gym and see someone walk by I can tell if they are wearing Lulu pants/crops. I am always on the lookout to spot Lulu.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because I never really think about the logo on the pants that I'm wearing but if I see lulu like pants on someone else i do look for the logo on the leg first. the only time I worry about the logo is if I'm trying to get away with wearing them somewhere that casual pants don't work...such as at the office when I was pregnant and really didn't want to wear anything other than my still pants.
ReplyDeleteLulumum ... I totally agree ... I look for the logo if I see someone wearing something I like but don't worry about it much for myself although I do like the logo on the hoodie
ReplyDeleteI prefer subtle logos. Flashy logos just make you look like you bought something for the logo, and not because you have taste/style. I've never been impressed because something is expensive. Hey, everyone has credit cards!
ReplyDeleteI get embarrassed by logos on clothing and accessories. I don't want people to think I am superficial. But at the same time, if I see something cute, I do want to know 'what' it is.
So, yes, subtle.
If it's Lulu,comfy and cute I will buy it! I do have to admit that if I am spending $100.00 plus for a pair of pants I do like to see the logo. If not I could get a pair of yoga pants at Costco for under $20.00.
ReplyDeleteI would be ok with subtle logos...
ReplyDeleteJust this past weekend we met up with a bunch of friends at a lake cottage. I brought my flashback hoodie, and my running baseball cap. I packed my stuff for the weekend in my I am Great tote. It apparently bothered one of my male friends... Friday night: "Why do you have a big omega symbol on your arm?" (flashback hoodie) then when I was wearing that hat for sun protection Saturday "There's that omega symbol again!" It's more subtle on the Tote, so I guess it went un-noticed.
I don't think any of them is familiar with lululemon despite being from all over the place (Baltimore, upstate NY, Boston, Oregon). But then again, I don't think any of them are as active as me, or buy active clothing that much. (The one friend that I thought might know about lulu didn't, but she is outfitted with all kinds of Nike stuff for free from her fiance who is a Director of a college sports team).
Anyway, I'm ok with logos, but subtle is better sometimes.
Subtle=Tasteful
ReplyDeletei am a vote for the logo. I agree with the post earlier..If I'm paying 100$ for a pair of pants..I want to see the logo.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with a subtle logo though.. I'm not all about flashy this and flashy that..bc really when you look around.. EVERYONE has lulu on. It's not just for the rich and famous..but I do like to see the symbol and for the money I pay.. I do expect to see it.
