Close Up of The New Swiftly Shorts

Inner liner

Looks cute but I would never wear this for
running even if I wore shorts. Unless they've
made these snag proof.

  1. Yikes! Saw these in my store today. I agree ... I wouldn't be wearing these ... they did look cute on the young staffer wearing them but definitely not for me!

  3. I bet they would be great for Bikram but I don't wear shorts like that either. It's great for the younger, thinner bodies.

  4. Maybe to sleep in...but, no, not for actual running...

  5. I saw these in store today. Super soft and looked really comfy (didn't try them on because I knew I'd never wear them because of the material), but they'd be incredibly impractical. The Swiftly material is so delicate that I'd never wear them for running. They'd get snagged on something in no time.

Don't get me wrong. I love my Run: Swiftly tees. They're all I wear to run in, but it's a little easier to avoid snags on your shirt than on your pants, particularly when you're running (and, even worse, when you're trail running like me). Even with them I'm paranoid about snagging them and make sure to keep my fingernails trimmed and chip-free for fear of snagging my shirts putting them on.

They also look like boxer shorts to me. Fine for sleeping in, but I definitely wouldn't be leaving the house in them. :)

  6. I tried these on today and they're definitely not worth the price tag. They are comfortable and fairly cute on the hanger, but the biggest problem is that they make your butt look lumpy because of the material; the material is so thin that the hidden pocket shows through and looks lumpy and the liner is also problematic for the same reason. On a positive note, the other new running shorts are great...what are they called? Run Fast or something?

  7. How much are these shorts?

I also just read a positive review about the Run Fast crops on the Superficial Endeavors blog. I must go try them on!

  9. I read that blog post and it's funny because I also read the post a while back about her Passion Crops so when I saw these with the cute pocket I wondered if they were similar.

I agree, these would be perfect for Bikrrams. Lulu just needs to make a tear away track pant (hello 1990) for Bikrams so you can wear the itty bitty shorts underneath and when class starts just tear them off.
