I'll be watching the game , Spain vs. Netherlands (ok, just the football players ) and eating Paella and sipping Sangria today. I'll get to my Lululemon reporting later today if there is anything new and intersting. For now, i'll let you know about yesterdays Lululemon hunting trip.
I've been on the lookout now for the Do it All shorts or the Seek the Peek shorts for the last 3 or so weeks as it's gotten very hot in these parts. I had the chance to buy the Do it All shorts and decided I wouldn't need them and I would just make do with crops. Ha, that's always the way isn't it. Now that I decide I need them and am willing to pay $68 for a pair of shorts there gone, save for the Potion Purple Seek the Peek which I would never wear. I went to two Lululemons yesterday and squeezed myself into a size 8 and decided that it was a no go. Frustrated I tried on the Flashback Shorts ($19!) which I would have loved if they were just a little longer -say, mid thigh. too short for me anyways. Tried on the tracker shorts and they looked odd on me and were a tidge too short. The Knock out shorts did weird things to my legs because they seemed to flare out quite a bit on me for some reason, maybe they were small. And then I tried on the Still Short in Static Charcoal. I LOVED Them! perfect length for fuller thighs, nice pockets and LOVED the static charcoal material. Very cool for hot weather. I got the 10 but I think the 8 would have worked fine in these because there pretty loose. The Static charcoal looks great with Pig Pink so I plan on wearing them today with my Pig Pink IJWR tank for World Cup celebrations. I think I even like these more than the Do it All shorts and I'm not sure why I hadn't ever tried these on before. Maybe because I have the Still Pants (used for C-Section recovery) and I was worried they would look like just cutoffs of those pants and because the waist is so high it would look odd. The high waist in these eliminates any muffin top but if you don't like it high you can fold it down.
I put my black pair of still short on Friday and ran out that day to grab another pair! I also picked up the static, the material is so light.. Love them!
ReplyDeleteI have the black and sized down in these. I also have a hard time finding lulu shorts that are long enough. These are so comfortable, I may even get a 2nd pair. The price is great too, $58. I don't have the still pants, I think they are a little too wide at the bottom of the legs for me.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Do it all shorts in passion when they first came out and absolutely love them! I'm kicking myself for not buying them in all colors. And the still shorts, I'm also a huge fan. I have the same "muscular legs" problem as you and they are the perfect length. I have them in static charcoal, black tuxedo stripe and my favorite, static dark classic sport grey. If you come across any Do it all shorts in an 8 post it, I'd love to get some more :)
ReplyDeleteVicki I'm pretty sure Metrotown had lots of 8's in static and black. I think the only empty cubby was the 12's. I think I would still get the Do it All shorts if I see them but I doubt I will see them.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 pairs of the flashback shorts. I found the black ones to be much shorter than the colors though, so I took the fold up part out, and just put a small regular hem in them. Much more comfortable wearing them out and about now.
ReplyDeleteI adore my flashback shorts for bumming around! Wish they had come out with the adventure shorts again this year - have a few pair from the past two summers. HALFTIME NOW... GO NETHERLANDS!
ReplyDelete@Becky, that's interesting about the Black ones being shorter. There was a pair of light grey with lavender stripes that I didn't try on because I just figured the fit would be the same. Now I wish I'd tried them on.
ReplyDeleteI would have just grabbed the black ones for $19 and had them re-hemmed but by the time I get around to doing that the heat wave would probably be over with.
Just bought the static charcoal Stills last night in ATL as well! I went a size down from my normal lulu size although I liked the fit in the butt in the larger size. I don't know why I didn't try these before either! Lulumum, just started reading your blog and it's great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the love Becky C! Wearing my Still Crops again today and love them so much.
