I can't decide if I want the rasberry or the Diamond Jacquard Define Jacket. Ahhh---I can only pick one! Does anyone know if the rasberry define is thin? Thank you.
Happy New Year LLM! The Diamond Jacquard Define in berry rumble/jewelled magenta is calling to me too! Have you or has anyone else tried it? Is it TTS or a size up item? TIA!
I just bought it this morning! It's super-pretty! Pinkish in person, with berry undertones if that makes sense. Thick and warm and unusual - I love it! I bought my usual 6 and found it to be looser around the waist/hips than usual, but not enough to size down. First Lulu purchase that I've been excited about in a while!
Thanks. I wish now that I hadn't bought the heathered magenta define that came out last year. I find it too thin and I don't think it was worth the money. I wish I'd held out for something thicker.
100% agree! I bought that jacket too, and just have never *loved* it. So it's going in my pile of things to sell on eBay :) I think it's a great jacket if you don't need a jacket with any warmth whatsoever, but this new one is super-pretty and feels very substantial by comparison. Now I just need to get my act together and start listing all the things ;)
I am a Lulu 4 in pants and tanks (5'7" and 128ish lb - I never weigh myself so that's approximate - with an athletic figure - i.e. no boobs) but I usually size up to a 6 for jackets/long-sleeved tops because I have quite broad shoulders. Size 6 is my usual Define/Forme/Scuba size and this one fits nicely in that size, in spite of the more dense fabric. I find it has a nice stretch to it in spite of the density - although it is definitely less snug around the waist/hips. Hope that helps!
Has anyone ordered the vinyasa *cotton, which apparently is acrually fleece and liked it? I ordered one from wmtm today and am regretting it a little based on the reviews.
i tried on the jacquard define yesterday and fit TTS for me. I take a size 4 in defines always. it's definitely more pink than it is red and the material is thicker so it felt a bit stiff on me, more than i liked, so i didn't buy it.
I called and complained about the vinyasa. She said she wears hers so many different ways. I said, "it must not be the one with fleece because I can't even wrap it around my neck twice." I also told her the description was misleading- the scarf is not useable. She returned it and gave me a gc.
I got the the diamond jacquard define today. I normally size up in defines, but in this color/fabric I ended up staying TTS. Very pretty, soft, and thick.
I tried the diamond jacuard jacket on Wednesday . It's pretty thick, felt like my Heathered black DJ define from a couple of months ago. I usually size up in defines bc of my 32D chest. Nice jacket, but I got Rasberry one instead. Was debating which one to get since they got uploaded
@lululover, I ordered both because j can't decide. Lol. Will have to see which material is thicker. It sounds like the diamond jacquard is but have to see when the rasberry define arrives.
I tried the diamond jacquard define on today. It is pretty and I will likely keep it but it is quite different from any other diamond jacquard items I have (I love this fabric typically). In all my previous items, including a define in a slate colorway, the fabric was almost woven, very soft, flexible: This berry rumble define version, while thick, almost looks like the fabric has been printed on to look like a weave. Much stiffer and less "sweater" like in feel IMO. I wish lulu was more consistent with how they name fabrics as you could not tell this difference looking at it on the website. Also got the desert olive define - gorgeous color.

ReplyDeleteHas anybody seen the diamond jacquard define in real life? Is the colour more like the above photos (quite pink) or the website photos (muted berry)?

DeleteLake'n'MountainLover, thank you for the info! Do you usually size up in define? I am wondering if 6 or 4 is your TTS for tops.

ReplyDeleteit is very stiff. but I'm hoping it will soften with wear and washing. I like a thick scarf and the pattern, so I gave it a try for $29.
DeleteIs there supposed to be an upload today or no?

ReplyDeleteskendall- i did order the fleece vinyasa and returned it. too stiff and constricting around my neck.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm worried about. Unfortunately lulu doesn't accept returns on sale items.
