Its too bad the Lucky short sleeve doesn't have the same backing as the Lucky long sleeve. But in general, these recent uploads just make me sigh. I truly, truly hope they get their act together as I Iove this clothing company. I think the designers need to review everything they have come out with since inception, make a few modifications or new colours choices and re-release the previous designs that made them so popular. Say since 2007/8 or something. Because if they continue with this kind of stuff, they are in trouble.....J
I think this entire Lucky line is just ghastly. That bra doesn't look good on anyone from a front or back view. I'm not a fan of open back tops, but even for those who are there just seems to be way too much loose fabric on these. On the upside, at least I haven't been tempted by much this month. Just as well after buying two of the spring jackets.
My take on this is that lulu is trying to make more to& from stuff and regular street wear when company core customers are more used to clothes strictly designed for working out. I think any company's goal is to attract more people & that's what lulu is trying to do. It's hard to keep everybody happy, we are all different. Personally I'm glad that I don't like EVERY SINGLE ITEM they make or I would have been broke! I'm already dropping More than $150 each upload and that's rediculous
I actually quite like some of the street wear items; I tend to wear Lulu as casual wear as well as fitness wear. I just don't think these are particularly well executed. IMO, a leaner silhouette in the tops would be more flattering. If you look at the back of the LS version you might see what I mean; the shoulders are too wide and I think there could be less fabric through the waist area without losing the draped effect. The models are lean and toned but the fabric almost hides rather than highlights that. Just my own take; I sew and I think they could have made the same design with a more flattering fit.
