This is a size down for me to an 8. I found the v to be not too deep for me but for someone with more cleavage this may be too deep. It's a wider v as well so it's very flattering to the neck and chest area. In this picture I'm wearing it with a Faded Zap Flow Y so that you can see how much of it peeks through. If you pull the shirt down a bit you can see more of it but this is how I would naturally wear the shirt. I think this fits slightly roomier than the 5yr Pima because of the V neck so there is plenty of room in the shoulder and chest area and it's about the same length I think. I also love that the sleeves are slightly longer and finished nicely with a wider band (seam I guess you would call it?) and it has a really nice contrasting stitch down the middle of the back. I got this in the Dark Grey (Heathered Charcoal) as well as the Oatmeal Color (LCSG). I was surprised that I liked the Oatmeal so much because this is such a tricky color for me to wear. If it's too light it washes me out completely but this one was not only flattering to my skin tone but somehow was also more slimming than the Dark Grey one. These are made of Pima cotton and feel a little bit thicker and softer than the 5yr Pimas.
*Sizes 2-10. Hmm interesting...I just looked at the tag on this and it's made in Peru. 92% Pima Cotton and 8% Lycra Spandex
And here is a picture from the Saskatoon page as well for a fit comparison
what size do you wear in a 5 yr pima?
ReplyDeleteI have a 12 that fits large and my 10's which fit like this.
ReplyDeleteactually, the difference with the 10 is in length more than anything but as you can see in the picture above the 8 is still long and hits me mid hip.
ReplyDeleteWere these avaible in a 12?
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you!
ReplyDeleteAwe, thanks Anju :D
ReplyDeletehmmm...I don't think I saw a 12 there. I don't know for sure but I think I just saw them go to 10. there pretty big though, I think if your a 12 you could easily go with a 10.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...did you notice if it came in a 2? I'm guessing it doesn't.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it did. It looked like 4-10. I'll do a bit of FB digging and post here what I find as far as sizing.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know if it comes in a 2, too! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, it looks great! Thank you for posting a personal fit review!
thanks Trisha!
ReplyDeleteI'll actually be at Coquitlam tomorrow for a playdate so if I don't get the product notifications in the morning I'll peek in at the store and see what sizes they have. I always feel a bit embarrassed if I go to the same store twice in one week but hey, it's for you guys so it's ok.
This comes in sizes 2-10. just got the confirmation email :D
ReplyDeleteanother shirt not made in a 12... i think they are slowly getting rid of the 12
ReplyDeleteYup, although they do fit big so a 10 is more of a 12. I would try one on for sure.
ReplyDeleteYay, it comes in a 2! Another question (kind of silly): is there a Lulu logo anywhere on it? If so, where? And is it the reflective kind? Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteNot silly, I looked for it too! it's at the back on the bottom left side, cute placement I think.
