I was looking in my closet yesterday for a hoodie to grab as it was pouring rain yesterday and just needed something a tad warm and snugly to wear. I realized that my first pick is always my Free2Be and not my much coveted Lux. Why? well, I think as soft and silky as it is the high maintenance of Beechlu/Modal and the concern over getting pills on it is what turns me off of wearing it. Once something gets slightly pilly I just don't like wearing it anymore because it looks too sloppy and because it's slightly rougher. Yes I know I just got the fabric shaver but that is more for my luon pants to keep them looking sharp.
I also like the fit better of the Free2be. it's more relaxed in the neck and chest area but has a more feminine look around the waist. That being said, today is another rainy day and Free2be Angel Blue is in the wash so I'm going to force myself to wear the Lux and try to keep my arms from rubbing my torso so that I don't get pilly.
ps. Spain lost today but will ultimately win the world cup.

Also, is that the travel pouch? Are you able to carry it like a purse, of does it have to be carried as a fanny pack (yuck).

ReplyDeleteI don't have the Fun Times jacket but I've seen it around. Jo-ann on facebook took a picture of both so that you could see the differences. There on the lulu fan page under fan pictures. From what I see it has a pretty scoop detailing on the back with a bit of a gather, has slimmer arms but very similar neck and hood.
the bag is a big slouchy bag that could fit about 3 days worth of travel clothes in. It's a very big bag. I forgot the name but it was online just a few days ago and now it's gone. Ill find the name out for you if you like. The Travel pooch can be carried as an over the shoulder purse or around the waist as a pack, I like the over the shoulder look better. It seems big enough to me to carry your wallet, cell phone, keys and a bit of makeup. Hope that helps!
I think it is called the "On the Move" gym bag? I thought it was the travel pooch. I have been wanting one of those travel pooch's, but only if they can be carried as a purse.

ReplyDeleteIf your in the Vancouver area the outlet has a few pooches in black and the white one with red trim. It for sure can be used as a purse. I think the older model of it was a bit harder to wear that way but the newer ones are more purse like than pooch like.
Haha, I'm at the other end of the country, NS. But, thanks for the info. We only have one lululemon in this area, in Halifax. NB and PEI both don't have a lululemon. I only get to Halifax occasionally, so I do the majority of my lulu shopping online. I do, however, have an entire list of items that I hope to be able to try on at the store next time I am in the city. That way, I will know how certain things fit and what sizes I need.

ReplyDeleteDo you mean the Free2Be or the Wear With All? The Stride is a Luon jacket. It's pretty nice too but not a hoodie style.
